Incredible
We have young kids and not only have these been so helpful for the larger scrapes, I also cut myself while at my workbench and was so impressed by how easy and effective these were.

Great Tool To Have In The First Aid Kits At Home And Outdoors
As someone who enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and cycling, I am always looking for additions to my first aid kit to be best prepared for anything that might occur far from a proper treatment facility. These are what I think better prepares one for more serious incidents, and I now have a package of these in my travel bag and in both vehicle first aid kits. Looking at the printed instructions and online information regarding proper use and application, I fell comfortable in their use and do not need to waste one for 'practice' on some inanimate object. My only concern and reduction of one star was due to the statement that this version uses a very high grip adhesive that could tear or damage delicate skin. As I do have somewhat delicate skin due to age this is a bit of a concern but I'll concern myself with that if I ever actually have to use these on myself.

Great addition to first aid kit!
DermaQuik strips have been a great addition to my gear box for hunting, fishing and any other adventures. Intuitive and very easy to use Iโd highly recommend!

Easy to follow instructions, great to have around the house or car.
Super convenient kit to keep around the house. Especially when you may end up needing stitches but need something temporarily/in the meantime. There is a full kit that includes 2 closure devices, 2 dressings, 2 gauze pads, and 2 alcohol wipes, making it great for more than one accident. The photos are easy to follow along with and they are easy to apply. Great product overall.

Very pricey and portions are pithy.
Very unforgiving. If applied perfectly, it works well but any misstep will result in pricey โpracticeโ rounds.

Easy to apply pain free wound closure device
I haven't had to use this particular kit yet, but I have used DermaQuik Extreme for patients while on active duty as an army emergency nurse practitioner. What makes the sport extreme version of these wound closure devices so useful under adverse conditions is that they're easy to apply under almost any condition (including low light), there's little learning curve to using them, they only require one hand to apply, and the adhesive is 3x stronger than the standard device so it can stand up to physical activity better. This kit is lightweight, easy to fit into a first aid kit or hiking bag, and contains everything you need to clean and dress a minor laceration (except clean water to flush the wound). Once the wound closure strips are applied they can stay on for up to seven days, and they're water resistant so you can shower with them on (but not swim). Since the adhesvive in this version is so strong it's best to avoid using them on small children or older adults with fragile skin that might tear when the strips are removed. $25.95 might sound expensive for a kit that contains just two wound closure strips, but it's a lot less expensive than a trip to an ER, a lot less painful than getting sutures, and keeps the wound edges together better and longer than steri-strips. I highly recommend adding this to your first aid kits, field packs, and car glove boxes. You never know when you might need them!

Used these many times and they work very well, just crazy expensive
Let me start by saying the 3 stars is completely due to price, as these are easily twice what they need to be. I understand they are brand name and they really are very high quality, but that can't justify $8.32/ea ($24.95 for 3 at time of review, and that's ON SALE!) The Good: * I have used these in the past, and they are definitely innovative and easier to use that traditional butterfly "stitches" * Strong adhesive, although you absolutely need a clean, dry area around the wound. Once nice thing about these is there is a "long" adhesive strip so as long as most of it is able to attach well, it will hold * Individually packaged. This sounds dumb, but so many butterfly stitches come with 3-5 in a single package and once you open it, they are no longer stale and have to be thrown away unless used immediately. These don't suffer from that problem. The Meh: * They are limited in the size of wound you can cover and are really only for lacerations and especially for something not overly deep. * If there is hair around the wound, that can be an issue for adhesion as it can cause the strip to be loose or move. The "extreme" adhesive is a little better at this, but comes with the following caveat... * If there is hair around the wound when you use/attach these...there won't be when you take them off. The adhesive is absolutely going to pull the hair. See "The Verdict" below on ways to limit that. The Bad: * The price. High enough that it's costing them a star on the review. The brand (DermaClip) has been around for quite a while, and while the single-handed capability of the DermaQuick is new, it's not that new (it was released in 2020). There are already copycats out there, including single-handed use, that are 1/2 to 1/4 the price. The Verdict: I love this brand and I like this specific product, not the least of which is the ability to use it one-handed. That said, the price is out of control. I recommend the brand as they are absolutely high quality, but I am having a real hard time recommending these just due to the cost. As for remediating the pulled hair, these aren't designed for life threatening injuries. Which means, you should have the time to properly clean the area before attaching them...which means you should have the time (and if you are hairy you should TAKE the time) to shave the area. Assuming this is in a first aid kit, many come with a simple razor for just that purpose as most adhesives don't do well on hairy areas. Trust me, you will NOT get this off without yanking out any hair it is stuck to.
