Anker 622 Magnetic Power Bank, 5,000mAh Foldable Wireless Portable Charger

Perfect for me, does the job, looks good, extra weight is ok and the fold out flap gives a useful phone stand. My use is not for a rapid full charge but just to attach as a top up when iPhone battery is low whilst out and about, particularly when using walking and health apps. Not a fast charge which worried me to start with but after some research I realised slower charging is an advantage as this minimises the heat generated by the power bank. My iPhone often gets hot when using apps such as fitness and satnav causing excessive heat and low power mode or even suspending use if too hot. So attaching this power bank when needed whilst out and about is a better option than using a fast charge device which would quickly cause overheating. Is easily detached when enough charge giving both power bank and iPhone time to cool down before attaching again. Whilst connected and using these apps the power bank does give a net increase to the battery charge, for example from 13% to 27% in perhaps a half hour or so before detaching to allow cool down before low power mode is activated or the phone suspends itself!

A nice, compact, and lightweight power bank. I really like the built-in foldable stand – it’s very convenient and works well in both horizontal and vertical positions. Magnetic charging is a bit slow and tends to warm up the phone. It also doesn’t work with every case, although it works fine without one. This power bank won’t fully charge my iPhone 14 Pro, but it’s enough for a mid-day top-up.

This is the perfect companion battery pack if you maybe have a day or two coming up where you'll be away from the house/a charging point for an extended period of time. I read some reviews suggesting they weren't able to charge their device fully using this, which is true, but with wireless chargers and rechargeable cells you definitely do have to be slightly realistic. I was able to charge my 14 Pro Max from 20% to 85% using this battery pack, which should be more than sufficient for most use cases, if you're looking for more then expect to go bigger, but for something that I can slip in my jacket pocket on days out, its perfect. Wireless chargers are inherently inefficient, especially when they're trying to achieve 7.5W (Anker, I would have loved the feature of being able to change between 5W/7.5W output if possible, to see if this generated less heat and made it slightly more efficient) but honestly, for £35, it is so convenient. Worth noting that during my testing, it was slightly warmer when stored in my backpack as the enclosed space retained the heat generated by the coils, which resulted in a 8-10% difference in battery charged when compared to just leaving it out on my desk, something to consider when if you're going to be out and about. You do also have the option to charge via a wire, which slightly defeats the purpose of it being an all in one solution, but for those prepared to carry an extra cable with them, you'll likely see a larger return in terms of charging capacity.

Compact, slim, and lightweight power bank for on the go charging with a handy phone stand. Very good quality and can charge the phone almost up to full charge on one full power bank. MagSafe makes it easy to use if you have the case.

This was recommended to me so I bought it. I can’t plug anything into it other than the cable to charge itself up. When I have used it, it charged slow. It literally just charges my phone where at least my old one I could cable just about anything into it. I honestly can’t recommend this.

Faulty and returning it. 40 hrs to charge then discharged over night without actually charging phone which was at 40% in the morning. The positives very lightweight and lovely colour. That’s it. I see in others reviews that you cannot charge anything using the usb connection so strictly phone/ magnetic charging. Disappointing Anker quality control and design.

Är väldigt nöjd med funktion och upplevelse av kvalitet. Återstår att se hur länge den fungerar, men än så länge ger den minst en full laddning för min iPhone 12 +. Nu ungefär 1,5 år sen mitt köp och använt den i stort sett dagligen.

User very happy on the design. Not to heavy not to bulky. Clean design and have own stand while charging your phone.

Best of best The best power bank and charger

J’ai été agréablement surprise et ravie par cet achat. Je l’ai acheté pour accessoiriser mon IPhone 15 pro max et m’assurer ainsi d’avoir toujours un plan de secours au cas où je suis à court de jus en pleine journée. Cette batterie portable fait plus que ça. Bien évidement elle recharge le téléphone ainsi que mes AirPod Pro 2e génération par induction type MagSafe mais en plus de cela, il sert d’appui pour le téléphone quand on est sur une surface plane. Je l’utilise régulièrement pour tenir mon téléphone droit pendant que je travaille bien que n’ai pas particulièrement besoin de charge ( je le laisse éteint et l’utilise comme simple support). Avec la mise à jour Ios17 il permet également le night mode lorsque le téléphone est mis à l’horizontal et en veille. J’ai expérimenté une surchauffe une seule fois, je l’utilisais pour charger mon téléphone alors que j’étais en pleine utilisation d’applications assez costaudes donc j’ai justifié cette surchauffe par cela, à voir si cela se reproduit dans le temps ( je modifierai mon commentaire si besoin). La charge n’est pas rapide, elle est même plutôt lente mais correcte en même temps, j’ai pu passer de 50% à 90% en moins d’une heure je dirai et ayant toujours de la capacité de charge dans la batterie portable. Pour l’instant en tout cas je considère ce gadget comme étant un must have dans son sac! J’utilise la fonction MagSafe mais il y a également la possibilité je charger via câble par port usb c. Je n’ai pas testé si c’était possible de charger deux appareils en même temps ( un par MagSafe et l’autre via câble). Le seul point négatif qui n’est pas vraiment négatif en soit mais plutôt dommage, c’est qu’il n’y ait pas de petit étui ou housse de protection permettant de le transporter en toute sécurité. Il faut donc sois même le protéger ou le laisser comme ça dans le sac. En conclusion que ce soit pour redonner un peu de force à votre téléphone ou juste pour lui donner une posture pratique en temps de travail, cette batterie est pour moi un game changer et pour le prix je dirai foncez sans hésiter!
