Varier Ergonomic Kneeling Chair, Rocking Knee Stool for Home Office Desk

So glad I gambled, it was easy to put together, all lined up, tightened everything after assembly and no squeaks! comfy as I can put my tripod/writer between my legs and right in my lap to relieve some shoulder tension as I'm working and the rocking is going to be a nice distraction when I don't get breaks every hour

+ : New, arrived about a week ago. Easy assembly, well designed to be stable and sturdy. Seat pad is firm, stable, comfortable. I was surprised that the chair allows me to sit comfortably with my feet, legs in a variety of positions - not just kneeling. I’m using it at my desk in a carpeted room, so have not attached the (included) floor protector strips to the wood rockers… and find I can “scootch” to make small adjustments to the chair’s position as I work. I can’t guarantee that’s a good idea for the long term since the floor friction may wear the wood finish on the very bottom of the rockers. However, the finish on the wood pieces appears to be very high-quality, and likely to be durable. And, it’s the very bottom… not going to be visible without turning the chair over! - : The two pads that support knees/lower legs seem thicker and less firm than the seat. As I sit down, and occasionally as I continue using the pads, I get a very slight sense of shifting, and question whether I might slip. Checking where and how I’m supported says all’s good, I’m safe. I can get accustomed to this. Especially since the pads are otherwise very comfortable.

I recently purchased a Varier balans chair and am absolutely loving it. I sit for most of my workday and due to some spine issues I need to keep moving. Sitting still and compressing your spine will lead to pain! Took a while to figure out the right chair. The biggest question is how will I know if these are comfortable!? Nobody carries them assembled to try out. I initially ordered a rolling kneeling chair (Dragon Vivo) with no movement or flexibility to it. It was ok but I felt it was not quite as comfortable as I hoped and I got easily fatigued using it. I kept thinking a rocking chair or at least one with an opening between the shins would be better for me. I took a leap and spent the almost $400 for the balans and could not be happier. It is such a unique design and is incredibly comfortable. I enjoy rocking while I work and the way it's built you can extend one or both legs or cross your feet underneath and the chair just adapts to your style. I'm a week in and no regrets. It was easy to build and is light and easy to move out of the way.

I bought this chair nine months ago because I was having lower back pain issues sitting in a regular office chair while working from home. The first few months I switched between the regular chair and the Varier chair because neither were comfortable long term. I realized, however, that my desk height was too low to use the Varier correctly so to accommodate the height I was putting too much weight on my knees when sitting in the Varier and slouching a bit. Recently I purchased a manual standing desk topper for my desk and it made a huge difference. When closed the standing desk top is about 2 inches higher than the top of my desk, which allows me to sit in the Varier correctly. This is now my primary desk chair and I love it! I like that I can shift positions or rock. Even though I am still sitting for long periods for work, the upright position feels more active and my back is straight and no longer hurts. With the standing desktop I can easily switch between using the Varier or standing. I also like that it tucks away under my desk, a plus in a small home office. For reference I am 5’10” and 205 lbs. and I have a long torso. My current desk height with the topper is 32 inches high. Anything lower than that would not work for me.

They sent the wrong color. Ordered black/black, received blue/natural. I was on the fence between the two so whatever. The fabric is abrasive and uncomfortable, they market it like it's some kind of special fabric but it's more like something you'd find on a patio or in a movie theater. The padding is equally mediocre, stiff and thin. For $400 I was expecting a more luxurious, memory foam type feel. Assembly was simple. The wood looks and feels beautiful. It's very light and easy to move around. The lack of crossbar in front is a major advantage. The sitting experience is fantastic overall, almost enough to make up for the fabric and padding. It keeps you moving and makes it easy to sit up straight. If it was $200 and they sent the right color I would probably give it 5 stars.

I am a chronic leaner. I lean far, far back all the time. This chair fixed that for me, since it's no longer an option. Feel more awake and engaged while I sit in it. Took a few days to get used to it, but now I don't even think about it. Only problem is that on really extended work days, my knees and rear can get a little sore, but I can keep that from happening with regular walking breaks. My back feels so much better, and I swear as ridiculous as it sounds, my back muscles got noticeably, visibly more defined, even though I don't work that out at all. Very surprisingly sturdy, very comfy.

This is a great chair! I only gave it 4 stars because it is a little narrow and small. I am 6' 0" tall, and not overweight. I am slipping off the sides of the knee pads and the seat feels narrow. Overall, the chair is smaller than expected. PROS: Great construction - very sturdy, with 5 year warranty. You have to assemble it yourself but its easy and fast. Ingenious constant motion rocking design! - much smarter and better than a stationary seat.

Beautiful wood, and fabric is soft. It was easy to put together, although I needed a rubber mallet to insert the wood dowels. It is tricky to align the seat and knee pads, as they rest on somewhat of a curve. It was very doable for a 68 year old woman with arthritic hands! I love this chair for meditating - easy to get into, super comfortable for long periods, and you can adjust your position from time to time without losing focus. I would really recommend this chair for meditation.

La compré porque me cuesta mucho mantener la postura en el ordenador y es mi medio de trabajo. La empecé usando para comer, 20 minutos y ahora la llevo de un sitio a otro de la casa porque no puedo estar sin ella. Llevo 6 meses y lo único que he tenido que ajustarle los tornillos porque se aflojan, pero también le doy mucho tute. No echo en falta el respaldo que dudé si comprarlo o no. Posteriormente, compré una "de marca blanca" para la oficina pensando que al ser menos horas, no importaría, y se nota mucho la diferencia. Con la varier no me duelen las piernas, con la otra sí.

🤓 Premessa: Lavoro molto spesso da casa e per 8 ore filate nel mio angolino in salotto. Sono alta 160 circa e la mia scrivania ha un altezza fissa standard di circa 71/72cm. 😩 Ho sempre patito il mal di schiena in una maniera incredibile, ho cambiato mille sedie e mille posizioni, mi sono fatta una cultura sul giusto rapporto seduta/tavolo (e credetemi, quello fa tantissimo), poi sconfortata, dopo l'ennesima ricerca mi sono imbattuta in questa seduta. Sapevo già che avrei dovuto spendere un bel po' di più del budget "standard", per avere una sedia decente in cui poter star seduta almeno 8 ore. Certo non immaginavo così tanto ma mi sono fidata. E poi ho pensato "oh al massimo faccio il reso". 🔧 La sedia è arrivata da montare, ma il montaggio è super semplice ed intuitivo, concordo con altri commentatori: non serve leggere le istruzioni, è davvero semplice montarla! E soprattutto ci sono riuscita da sola in casa. L'intero montaggio consiste in una decina di viti da avvitare con la brugola (chiave esagonale) in dotazione. Per cui non servono altri attrezzi. 🤩 Ho trovato nel kit anche i nastrini proteggi pavimento! Fantastico regalo, anche perché molto probabilmente li avrei comprati comunque per proteggere il parquet! 🥰 Appena mi sono seduta è stato amore a prima vista! Mi sono abituata alla sedia in un nanosecondo! Perfetta! I cuscinetti sono comodi e non ho rimpianto assolutamente il non avere una sedia "normale". Finora non ho avuto problemi alle gambe o ginocchia (sono anche un tipo molto sportivo e l'idea di dondolarmi forzatamente per "fare addominali" mi stuzzica ancora di più). Considerazioni finali: 🟢 É sicuramente una sedia non convenzionale, adatta a chi ha problemi di schiena dovuti alla troppa staticità della seduta. Puoi mettere le ginocchia o i piedi sui cuscinetti, puoi sederti "normalmente" poggiando i piedi per terra, puoi incrociare le gambe e poggiarle sui cuscinetti, o ancora usarla al contrario. 🟢 Anche se puoi dondolare la seduta è comunque stabile, i dondolii sono impercettibili se non voluti. Non venite sbalzati via insomma! 🟢 L'assenza dello schienale finora non l'ho neanche percepita. Avevo preso in considerazione di prenderlo, ma ora che la sto usando direi che posso farne a meno! 🟠 Il prezzo è alto, ma è anche vero che su questa fascia di prezzo ci sono le classiche sedie da ufficio che sono tendenzialmente orribili e ingombranti e di dubbia comodità. 🟠 Non credo possa andare bene proprio per tutte le altezze e per tutte le persone. La casa produttrice assicura che è adatta per persone da 150 a 190cm ma non ne sarei proprio sicura. In molti siti ho letto che è consigliabile avere una scrivania regolabile in altezza per ovviare a questo problema. Per me (160cm) è perfetta. Spero che questa recensione vi sia stata utile!

Ich habe mich für den Varier Balans entschieden, da ich einen Stuhl gesucht habe mit welchem ich nicht nur meinen Rücken etwas Gutes tue, sondern auch, dass ich mit meinen Beinen unter den Tisch komme (ich muss sie sowieso nach hinten abwinkeln). Zuerst zur Qualität: - Die Sitzpolster haben für mein Empfinden genau die richtige Steifigkeit. Sie fühlen sich nicht durchgesessen, sondern schön straff, aber gleichzeitig nicht hart, an. - Der Stoff scheint sehr robust und ist in einem schönen dunklen Schwarz - Der Aufbau ist an manchen Stellen etwas tricky doch stimmt das Lochbild der Bohrungen erstaunlich gut und ist damit sehr präzise gefertigt. Die einzelnen Füße müssen dann doch ein klein wenig per Kraft an die richtige Stelle geführt werden. Bei den Passungen und den Abständen aber wirklich präzise bearbeitet. - Ich sitze meist mit meinen Hausschuhen auf dem Stuhl und habe mein Füße angewinkelt auf den Stuhlfüßen abgestellt (während meine Knie auf den Kniepolstern liegen). Bisher ist zwar an den Füßen schon zu erkennen, wo ich etwas schwarze Farbe vom Holz abgenutzt habe, doch bei weitem weniger als befürchtet. --> Qualität des Stuhls: TOPP Sitzverhalten: - wie vorher schon eingelesen ist das Sitzverhalten anfangs ungewohnt. - Für die Schienbeine ist es eine Zusatzbelastung, die sich jedoch auch in Grenzen hält. - Da der Rücken durchgängig frei ist und man sich nicht anlehnt wird dieser natürlich auch mehr belastet als früher. - Ich muss gestehen, dass ich mich persönlich lieber in einen normalen Bürostuhl reinlege, mich hier mit dem Stuhl aber zu einer besseren Haltung zwinge. Alles in allem finde ich den Stuhl damit sehr gut verarbeitet und würde ihn auf jeden Fall wieder kaufen. Wer sowieso viel gerade und ohne Rückenlehne sitzt wird diesen Stuhl sicherlich lieben.

Man sitzt überraschend gut und jedenfalls gerade. Der Stuhl ist perfekt austariert, daher kann man auch - ohne die Kniepolster zu benutzen - gut sitzen. Ich wechsle ca stündlich zwischen Kniestuhl und dem normalen Bürosessel. Dem Rücken tut es gut.

La sedia è arrivata in perfette condizioni. Il montaggio è facile e rapido, nella confezione sono presenti le chiavi da usare (due copie, una con le viti e una in un apposito spazio sotto la seduta per future manutenzioni). Nella scatola sono presenti anche delle strisce in feltro per la protezione del pavimento che in questo momento io non ho installato perché utilizzerò la sedia su un tappeto. Dopo i primi due mesi di utilizzo confermo la recensione e la comodità della sedia! La seduta è davvero comoda e fa mantenere una posizione corretta della schiena senza sforzo. I cuscini per le ginocchia sono confortevoli e la posizione non provoca indolenzimento. Da quando ho iniziato ad usarla ho risolto i frequenti mal di schiena che avevo per la postura scorretta alla scrivania. Sono davvero soddisfatto dell'acquisto. Ottimo prodotto, consigliatissimo!!
