Great product for my intended use!
I love opossums and they often hang out in my backyard. One night a female showed up having obviously just been bitten. She had a patch of hair torn from her side and 2 puncture wounds that were red & bloody but not actively bleeding. Other than that she seemed just hungry and thirsty as usual. She’s a wild animal and I don’t ever touch them unless it’s to help. I didn’t want to frighten her by grabbing her and I know from experience an animal like this will be put down if I called animal control. They’re not even open in the middle of the night where I live anyways and most are taken to a local 24-hr vet during the evening for triage, etc. There’s only a certain amount of $ provided by the county hat can be spend to treat each animal based on their estimated possibility of survival. I quickly grabbed my phone and ordered a bottle of Vetericyn Woundcare. It was one of the only wound sprays that could be delivered the next day but also had good reviews. I hoped the opossum would visit the next night so I could spray her and she did. Since I wasn’t able to touch her, I adjusted the nozzle to fan out (instead of stream) and offered her some food w one hand while I sprayed her side w the bottle w the other. I sprayed 3-4 really direct sprays all over the wound. She’d obviously been bitten by another animal and it had torn off her fur. I didn’t see her for a week after that but when she came, it looked like the puncture wounds were healing just fine. But on her other side, she had another patch of missing fur and more puncture wounds! I again sprayed her and hoped for the best. I didn’t see her for 3-4 weeks but when she came back around, I could see the wounds had closed up w no infection and the fur was growing back. This made me very happy! I’m thrilled w this product. I wasn’t sure how she’d keep those wounds from getting infected but w this woundcare spray, it wasn’t an issue. I would definitely recommend Vetericyn Woundcare. It worked for me and my opossum. And who says only cats have 9 lives?

Vetericyn Plus Dog Wound Care Spray | Healing Aid and Skin Repair, Clean Wounds, Relieve Dog S
Love this stuff! I have been around wound care for a long time with having several pets over the years & it has saved me from some vet visits/bills. I can only speak from personal experience regarding dogs & guinea pigs.

Clears infected hair follicles, skin allergies and fungal infections
Buy this ! I've bought this multiple times and wish I would've take a before and after picture of my pups. My dogs have really bad skin allergies, it's terrible. I've spent so much on allergy medication and allergy shampoos. I did research and bought this spray. My dogs had bumps all over their skin that would get infected. Chunks of hair would come off along with dry flaky skin. This spray has cleared their skin. Onyx's skin is clear of bumps and all of his fur has grown back. Luna is 80 % better. My son after seeing how relieved the dogs felt and how their skin is healing, she also bought it for her dog Rocco. Pitbulls have really bad skin issues but this is something I will always have available at home. This spray has no bad odor works and goes a long way. Please buy it now! You won't regret it :-)

Good choice
Our foster pup came to us with a nasty paw wound. She completed her antibiotics but it was still a lingering wound in a rough spot. I used this several times and saw improvement quickly. She was very challenging to use the spray. To be fair, I’m not sure if the spray sound was terrifying to her or if it stung but it became a two person job to administer. Regardless, healing achieved. Hard to say how much was the antibiotic completing its job vs the effectiveness of this product. But it was soon after using this we saw positive change.

Chinchilla approved.
I bought this to treat a chinchilla that has persistent bumble foot. She has a big attitude. She won't tolerate soaks, she can't tolerate antibiotics. Nevertheless I still need a way to treat, especially in case of a bumble blowout which can be very bloody, and very painful. Those happen in small bursts usually and the foot tends to heal up well without much intervention, but she recently had a big, big bumble blowout, big wound left behind, big risk for infection. If you're a small animal owner like me you've probably heard the Internet insist that you use blu kote for situations like that, but blu kote isn't safe in case of ingestion, and moreover, it stains everything blue. So I went in search of an ultra safe, easy to apply solution and came across a reco for Vetericyn. I spritzed it on her wound for about 3-4 days and the blown bumble scabbed over and started to heal immediately. Two weeks later, there's no infection and no swelling, and it looks like a brand new foot, better than ever before. As un-luck would have it, the bumble brewing on her other foot just blew, and so we've got the Vetericyn on board again. I love that I can just spritz it on the wound quickly before she squiggles and then bribe her with food. The spray doesn't stink, it kind of just vaguely smells like saline. If it stank like bag balm or stung like blu kote she'd give me heck trying to put it on her but with this spray she just kind of sits there and doesn't mind me applying it. It's hypochlorous acid, which is something their bodies make anyway, and I don't have to worry if she licks the excess off which is key, because she absolutely will. She's a rodent. It's what they do. There is no such thing as a chinchilla cone. It heals ouchies fast, it's safe for the little guys, and so far it really seems to calm her bumble issue down, so I foresee us doing preventive weekly spritzes to try to fend this problem off for good.

Must Have in First Aid Kit
This stuff is great. I have used it to protect my dog from infection after she snapped her nail up pretty high. Just sprayed this on to clean, wrapped, and changed the wrapping every two or so days. I have also used the feline version as part of a system to heal bumblefoot. There’s not a strong smell, it didn’t cause my dog discomfort at all. This works very well in my experience and is a must to have on hand for when you might need it quickly.

My new rescue had a sore near one of her nipples probably from playing with one of my other dogs. She is still in decompression mode and so wanted something to spritz on with minimal handling. Within 3 days of using, the cut has healed, the redness gone and she isn't licking anymore. Handy to have in your dog kit.
