Worth it
This works very well for burning things. What's more, it doubles as a standard trash can that will fit in 30-gallon plastic bags, if not too full.

The most efficient trash can.
You can cancel your trash collection service and get rid of your shredder. This can does it all and fast. It only needs a part of an item in the can to ignite and the entire contents no matter the material will in incinerate. Just drop trash in the can, light it, cover it and walk away. The smoke plumes up top and the air flow through the sides are what keeps the flames working inside. Everything turns to ash. The metal feet keep the can off of the ground and does not get hot. This was the best investment to ward off nosey neighbor trash diggers, rid out the trash and yard waste in a secure manner.

It's small and efficient.
This is good for burning papers if you don't have a shredder. If you overload it flames will shoot up and out the top. It needs a wire over the hole on top to prevent ashes from going up. This is for small burns. If I'm going to burn paper records I'll start some in the bottom and continue to throw wrinkled up papers in. It gets hot all over so you need thick gloves like welders gloves to handle lid. I always have a hose ready too.

Works great but gets rusty
Ive used it a few times and it does a really great job at containing the flames and ashes. The smoke is managable but is mostly a result of what you burn, not the can itself. Its super useful for the price and helps get around open burning ordinances when you need to dispose of wood waste. That being said, galvanization is not meant for heat. It burns off easily if you let it get too hot. Just be aware if you go overboard with filling it you will burn off the galvanization which will result in rusting. Not totally the fault of the can as I am the one who let it get too hot. But at the same time who designs a "fire can" out of galvanized metal?

Best investment
This incinerator works VERY good! I had 5+ years of paperwork with sensitive information on them. UPS store had a service to shred my documents for a total of $200. This can had saved me a lot of money and I use it constantly saving me more money.

This burn barrel is TRASH!
Galvanised trash cans put off toxic fumes!! Found this out after researching my purchase. Also, one use and it’s starting to rust in a humid environment. I’m going to cover in high heat resistant paint. hopefully it’ll last three months. Don’t waste your money. Go buy a real steel burn barrel.

My Second Purchase - Works very well, but need replacing every couple of years
This is very useful (we are limited here to one trash can full per week, so cardboard boxes are a problem). I use it to burn cardboard boxes (cut up first) to minimize my weekly volume of trash. It does rust out in a couple of years and has to be discarded, but I am willing to live with that for the convenience it provides.

Work horse
It’s basically a metal trash can with holes in it and some little feet. I laughed when I opened the box at the first, but we have definitely put this thing to use. Have burned leaves, brush and logs in it. Smoke is directed up and since there are vent holes in the side, this chimney burns wood and brush very quickly. Sturdy, good size, I didn’t buy the large and this suits are needs. Easy to put together. Much better than the small fire pit we were trying to use so great value for the money.

Rusts quickly
Chinese galvanizing = rust otherwise it does what it is supposed to do

Quite flimsy!
Works well but very “flimsy”. Doesn’t look like it was made to last very long. I’ll keep my fingers crossed!
