CAP Olympic Trap Bar | Heavy-Duty Hex Shrug & Deadlift Weight Bar

I really like this bar. It is heavy duty and has good texture for griping. You can’t beat it for the price. It is a great addition to a home gym. Especially if you prefer these to squats or standard deadlifts. I use it for deadlifts, farmers walks, and shrugs.

Absolutely love it its well built and has good welds. Its heavy duty and it has really good knurling almost too good. If you got soft hands better get some gloves. For some reason i thought it came with some safty clips but it dosent. So if you want some buy them separately. It was also one of the cheapest one i could find and it arrived the fastest

This bar is heavy and seems to be well made. All one piece. 2 grip options. I think I’m going to really like it. Plenty of room inside as well(at least for me it is). The price is outstanding for this bar. I can’t fathom anyone paying 300+ for a bar when u can get this for under $70.

This is a great trap bar and very reasonable in price - the packaging needs a little work because the Styrofoam broke up and went everywhere - bar is solid and very durable and weighs appox 52 lbs

Does what it is made for. My only gripe is how aggressive the knurling is. Compared to my Cap Barbell, it is like a street tire and tractor tire. Instead of encouraging a confident grip, it painfully digs at the skin. Some hockey tape later and it will be fine, luckily I am not sharing equipment and can do what I need to make it work. Worth the reasonable asking price, but the quality doesn’t feel on par with their other products.

Exactly what I needed. What you see is what you get. Solid construction, good weight. This has been an incredible addition to my home gym equipment. Can’t beat the cost either for what you’re getting. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a trap bar. Could find anything close to this locally and I live in a major metro area.

First and foremost, Trap bar packaging box came damaged. It looked like frigging Wolverine attacked the packaging mid shipment. The only “cushioning”, if that’s what you call it, was on the handles. There was no addition cushioning to prevent scratches and possible dents. Seriously, Hellen Keller could do a much better job at packaging this. Besides the amateur packaging, the trap bar worked fine I guess. My only complaint is that I wished the kneeling was a bit more “aggressive” as my hand kept slipping even with both dry and liquid chalk. I’m no Ronnie Coleman but I don’t expect this bar to last me more than a year. Would I buy this trap bar again? Doubt it. I guess I get what I paid for.

My scales weigh the bar at 23kg. Slightly heavier than an olympic BBell. So far so good. It seems strong and sturdy. The double grip is good. Unfortunately, it loses a star as the welding for the handles is a little out of line. Ultimately it doesn't affect the product but it does mean hand grip is not in a 'true' neutral grip as advertised. That's why I've dropped a star. But let's face it, it's the cheapest Hex bar on Amazon.jp at time of purchase so quality/price is very good

It’s a beast of a bar but I love it and use it often. It has great knurling for grip and it’s built solid. There are 2 ways of picking up and feels great in your hands. I use it for shrugs, deadlifts, farmers walk, and after doing forearms I’ll just go pick it up with 2 45’s a side and hang on to it till failure. Recommended all day long.

Excellent build quality. The end caps were a bit difficult to get off before first use, but the bar is very solid and has very good weight to it.
