High quality product!!
I was blown away by the quality of this soap! Holy moly, what is this scent? It smells like luxury toiletry. A drop cleans the whole skillet spotless. The oil was also nice, light textured, not sticky. Amazing products, much recommended!

Love the product a lot
Love the product a lot. Spent so much time using canola oil on my cast iron it made it sticky and really didnt help keep it greased especially after washing it I felt like I was starting all over to maintain it, every time I cooked on it. Love the soap with a touch of oil in it, it cleans very well and leaves a touch of oil behind not stripping it from its oils. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because pouring it wastes a lot of it making it go very quick. With me cooking 2 times a day cleaning my pans and having to pour it, it goes very quick already have to order more and its not cheap. I recommend providing at least a spray bottle with it. I put a pump on them which helped more but still hard to spread around with the brush and paper towel leaves particles. So I bought little spray bottles and love it. I can spray little oil all over the pan and on the cast iron stove grills which I could not do before. I illuminated the crappy brush, saved time, better coverage and use less oil and soap.

I Was Skeptical at First...
I'm old school when it comes to cast iron. I never use soap. Liquids never sit in the cast iron any longer than necessary. Cast iron is cleaned immediately after use. These are the rules my grandfather gave me and I have always stuck to them. Recently, I came across a beautiful cast iron skillet at an estate sale in desperate need of love. The asking prince was $3. I pulled out my usual bag of tricks for recovering neglected cast iron, but I still wasn't able to get that smooth, glossy black surface. I read a few blogs and forum posts to see if there were any new tricks out there. I came across a mention of "soap" for cast iron. I initially shook my head, but there was a lot of positive responses to the post. I checked Amazon and quickly found this and the Cast Iron Oil. They were sold in a bundle and were inexpensive enough, so I thought I'd give it a try. The Cast Iron Soap is made from saponified coconut oil. Soap is what you get when you mix an oil with lye. In this case, it created a gentle soap with the very same oil used to season cast iron. You only need a very small amount, too. This removed all of the years of neglect and whatever else was hiding in the iron and left a beautiful, dull black finish. After drying the pan, I placed it in the oven to remove any remaining water and gently heat the iron to open its pores. Once accomplished, I rubbed the entire pan down with the Cast Iron Oil. It left a beautiful sheen and was not the slightest bit sticky. The first time I used the pan was to make eggs. There wasn't the slightest bit of sticking and the cleanup was a simple rinse, dry, and re-oil. That pan is now one of my favorite and I'm in the middle of reseasoning all my pans with the Cast Iron Oil. Get yourself some. There's just nothing else like it.

Oil doesnโt make my skillet sticky.
Cleaned my cast iron skillet with it and a pumice stone. Glad to have an oil that wonโt make my skillet sticky.

Great Products
I am a novice when it comes to cooking with Cast Iron. I read up on how to clean the pan after use, and I bought this cleaning/conditioning set. It was great! First I used the soap with a metal scouring pad and everything came off. Then I conditioned the pan. and my second use of the pan went perfectly.

My favorite soap and oil to clean and reseason my cast iron.
I'm a cast iron fanatic. I cook most of my meals on my cast iron cookware. I typically use olive oil to re-season my pans. I've tried canola, vegetable, other blends, flax seed and now grapeseed seems to be the latest rave. All are good but olive oil is cheap and does such a great job. I picked up this pair primarily for the soap. I was intrigued by that more than the oil. I usually never use soap on cast iron. Just warm water and kosher salt. This soap works great. It's got a nice, piney smell to it. It's not harsh and won't damage your seasoning. The oil is absolutely awesome. No odors like other oils. Goes on light and smooth and has become my go-to oil for first seasonings on new pieces or reseasoning older pieces that have taken a beating. Basically its a "treat" for my cast iron and it should be for yours. It's on the pricey side. But it's worth it.

Great Products
I have several pieces of cast iron cookware. I have used Caron and Doucet for 10 years. It keeps my frying pans and Dutch ovens in great condition. I can't believe how a drop or three of the soap can clean an item. And it's Canadian
