I purchased this Vitex because I have PCOS and I have had it all my life. My periods have always been irregular, only receiving about 3 or maybe 4 cycles a year. Now that I am in my 30s my doctor got concern about me developing endometriosis, or uterine cancer due to not shedding my uterine lining as frequently as I should. She requested that I start taking birth control to regulatr my cycle and I really hated the idea of that. So, I started to look into taking Vitex. It took me a little over a month of researching to finally settle on this brand. I was very skeptical, to say the least. I started taking 1 capsule a day as instructed and saw no changes after 2 weeks. I increased the dosage to 2 a day but realized it make me feel a little nauseated, just a weird feeling. So, I went back to just taking the one capsule a day. After a little over 3 weeks I still didnt received a cycle and I started to doubt that these were even working. I started to slack off on taking then and would miss a day or so between dosage, or take them real late at night when I would remembered. Well, after taking these capsules off and on for a month and a half it happened. I finally got my period!!! I was elated and decided that the only way I would know for sure if these really worked is to stop taking them and see if my cycle becomes automated. I was doubtful that it would. Well, I am happy to say that I just got off my cycle again this month and I haven't taken these pills since the start of my initial cycle. It came by itself! I am holding out to see if its going to come again next month automatically. Needless to say, this product is wonderful, and the dosage is just the right amount snd I can just tell that the ingredient is authentic. I also recommended this to my friend and it worked for her as well. She it activated her cycle after only a week of her taking it. She also suffers from PCOS. Sge has since gone on a recommend this to her sister who doesn't have PCOS but is having problems conceiving. I will recommend this product to anyone who will listen. I've suffered with very erratic short cycles that could be heavy or light. I started using Vitex/ chasteberry of naother brand and saw some improvements. I then decided to try a stronger dosage per capsule, along came this brand. Well it's been 4 months of consistently taking two pills three times a day. I know this may seem like over kill, but I had an extremely erratic and heavy cycle. I tried diet, exercise, meditation, acupuncture and prescriptions. I still maintain my diet and homeopathic alternatives. However, this is by far given me a reason to not have to wear OVERNIGHT pads every day of my cycle. Zero cramps and less clots. I still get a bit fatigued but this is minor to the heavy flow I couldn't control. I'm so glad i discovered vitex and recommend it to others who might be suffering. UPDATED: 06/17/19 Best brand of vitex. I've been using this consistently for the past year. I went from heavy flows that lasted for 6/7 days, 21 day cycle and weekly spotting; 4/5 long periods, 25 day cycles and no more spotting. This product help me to regain control of my menstrual cycle without the use of surgery or prescription hormones/ medication. I enjoy my body more and my body thanks me for using the product. If your struggling with horrible periods please be patient and give the product time. I also take this supplement 3x a day based on my conditions.

Over the last couple years I have been doing my own research about hormone regulation after being frustrated with every Obgyn I visit. It seemed as if their "fix all" for every hormonal issue was birth control even though they did not really take the time to get to the root of the problem. I went off birth control for a reason and the symptoms that occurred when I stopped were just being masked my the birth control. I decided to try Vitex after struggling with PMS, adult acne, bloating, painful periods, etc. I have read about how powerful this herb can be so I decided to only take one pill in the morning every day of my cycle other than on my period days (again, do your research! I have read about giving your body a little rest) From my understanding, this herb is meant to "jump start" your hormonal balance especially after you stop taking birth control. I have been taking it for about a month and a half now so I have only had one period but I could tell it was remarkably more tolerable than usual! My period actually snuck up and surprised me for once! Usually I would have a couple days of PMS before my period. I do believe good things are happening :) I have also read that Vitex can make some hormonal conditions worse but it seems to be working for me.

I have irregular periods and love that this natural product regulates my period so I can predict ovulation. Vitex gave me my daughter and now this brand is making it possible to try for a boy. It only took 2 months instead of the 3 to 6 months it took for natures way 3 years ago. I highly recommend it.

This product does wonders for rebalancing your hormones. I was someone who used to DREAD their period because PMS consisted of extreme sadness, anxiety, and overall just complete emotional imbalance. It was horrible to say the least. I finally did some research why I had such severe mood changes and found high levels of estrogen in comparison to progesterone (the calming hormone) to be a possible reason. Since vitex helps balance hormones by boosting progesterone, I gave it a try. Changed my life. I no longer dread my period and even though my mood is still not perfect, it is so much more manageable and I am so much happier. Since the concentration is so high I usually take 1 pill a day with 2 pills the last 10 days and even a break during my period. I will say that it doesnt seem to have done much for my period pain (tho my physical pain isn’t usually crazy) and it’s possible my period is heavier. Libido is lower though, probably due to the decrease in estrogen. All in all, PLEASE get this if you too suffer from hormonal imbalance and super high levels of estrogen.

I waited a couple of months to write this review, as I wanted to determine whether the product actually worked or not. 6 months ago I decided to stop taking birth control pills as I hadn’t had a period in years and it felt unhealthy to me (I’m 29) The reason for the BC pills was that I have endometriosis. I had a feeling my severe pain would come back after not being on the pill and sure enough, one month into not being on the pill I started having endo pain again. I did some research and stumbled upon an article about Vitex. So, I went to my favorite online superstore, Amazon, and found this product that was reasonably priced with good reviews. I’m 5 months in of taking this product and KNOCK ON WOOD have not had any endo pain since about two weeks of taking this stuff! It has changed my life. I am so grateful to have found this product.

My wife says: "I am taking Vitex trying to correct symptoms of short luteal phase. I've been taking two capsules (recommended dosage) for 1 complete cycle (started taking it on Day 1 of my last cycle). Throughout the month I've felt very energized, no days of PMS-like depression/irritability, and I haven't had headaches or any side effects mentioned by other reviewers. However, as the end of the cycle approached, the short luteal phase symptoms began pretty much as usual. The spotting was a little less frequent but otherwise similar. The day before the period started, I experienced intense cramping, which is uncommon for me. Usually my cramping begins on Day 2. The bleeding was notably lighter/spottier as well. So, after one month of use as directed, I don't think I'm seeing the specific changes I was hoping for, although some things are definitely different. My plan is to increase the dosage to 3 pills for this month, and if I observe any significant change in my body's reaction I will update."

I had a mid cycle spotting which sometimes last until I get my period. I was struggling with cysts on my ovaries for years. My GYN placed me on progesterone tablets to regulate the hormones from day 15-25. It worked for a while but the mid cycle bleeding reoccurred with pain and cramps and it was just driving me nuts. I was researching a lot on how to naturally balance your hormones and VITEX , DIM and MACA supplements were among those that had great reviews. I started with DIM Supplements however I didn't have much luck with it. I got more acne on my skin, got bloated frequently and I felt overall not right. Then I switched to VITEX and this is so far a winner for me. It is already a 2nd month and 2nd menstrual cycle that I'm on VITEX supplement and I already see great improvement. My mid cycle spotting is gone, slight cramps but hey... I can live with that as long as I'm not spotting and in general I'm more calm. I feel like I'm breaking out a little more than regular but it could be a cleansing effect. We'll see... I will still continue taking this nevertheless. I'm also taking probiotics, vitamin d and biotin. I'm trying to eat health mostly following Mediterranean diet, light exercise and avoid stress. Thank you VITEX keep up the good work :)
