I definitely think this is a great battery for your camera rigs! It just needed a couple of USB ports more. Price: I think it’s priced quite well, it does seem expensive for a battery but if you’re looking at it you’re used to paying top money for lenses or for cameras. I would say that this does become appealing when bought on a sale! Performance: It’s mega, I’ve done upto 5 hours with this thing and it still had probably 30% spare. This is dependent on your use case but I do think for my needs the performance is incredible. Its got a nice screen too which shows how much juice your ports are using, so you can be sure your camera is getting the required wattage. It also shows the battery percentage too. Size: Good size and adds a good bit of weight to the camera rig. Just make sure you’re counterbalancing as mine did become “back heavy” Quality: I’ve had for a couple of months and hasn’t shown any signs of wear or tear. So far it’s holding up! It’s great, I’d recommend it! I just wish it had two usb-c outputs.

For the brief time i owned this before it was stolen, i had absolutely no complaints Felt solid and more than sturdy, charge lasted ages, and charged relatively quickly.

Bought as a camera battery however it is a great double as a portable power bank when in need.

Small profile, with lots of useful outputs, can be charged by USBC but also on a traditional V-Lock charger. Useful display screen - I’ll be buying more! Glossy design but maybe not the most durable?

A perfect v-mount battery with plenty of ports for charging almost every device. Plenty of imitations, but SmallRig seem to do it so well. Long battery life, clear screens, and takes a battering in my camera bag

Excellent high capacity compact power source. Will connect to pretty much anything - v-mount, d-tap, usb, dc. You can power multiple devices at once, and the built in screen makes it easy to track power use and remaining capacity. Charges in a couple of hours with a high power USB-C charger, but is a lot slower if charging from a laptop etc. Use this to power a full camera rig with external monitor and LED light.

From day one, I encountered an issue where the battery wouldn't charge beyond 93%, even after receiving a replacement unit. Pros: Solid Build: The battery's build quality is decent and feels sturdy, ensuring it can endure the rigors of production environments. Runtime: Despite the charging problem, it still delivers a reasonable runtime, which is crucial for extended shoots. Cons: Persistent Charging Issue: The most significant drawback is the persistent charging issue. The battery consistently refuses to reach a full 100% charge, staying stubbornly stuck at 93%. This has been a consistent problem across multiple units, and it's frustrating as it affects the overall usability and reliability of the battery. Inconvenience: Dealing with a battery that never reaches its full potential can be inconvenient, especially when you're reliant on it for extended periods of shooting. It's disappointing to encounter this issue after purchasing what seemed to be a promising V Mount battery. In conclusion, the SMALLRIG 99Wh V Mount Battery VB99 has a substantial issue with its charging, consistently staying at 93% despite replacement units. While it has some positive aspects like its build quality and runtime, the charging problem is a significant drawback that hinders its overall performance. If SMALLRIG can address this issue in future versions, it would greatly improve the product's appeal and reliability. Bin absolut zufrieden mit den Anschlüssen und mit der Laufzeit des Akkus. Habe den Akku an meiner Nikon ZR und komme gut durch einen Drehtag.
