Philips Azur 8000 Series Steam Iron, 3000W, 260g Boost, No Burns Guaranteed

Good piece of iron. Quite expensive but does the job. Takes about 2 minutes to warm up but once it does, it does the job. Uses a lot of water though. Don’t use hard water otherwise you will cause a lot of limescale. Cord length is decent. Quite heavy but you do get used to it

Been a lifelong fan on Philips irons, this one makes it easy to operate no need for temp control and it claims not to scorch. The steaming is impressive and even though you get a large water tank it will guzzle through fairly quickly but it's testament of the strength of the steam pressure. Why drop one star ? The heating for the steam function to switch on takes approx 2mins which is crazy and also, not easy to wrap the cable on the device.

Replacement for a previous Azur that started tripping the electricity, very annoying but nothing is repairable these days. So far so good with 2yr warranty.

This is such a good iron and it makes the annual weekly ironing job so much easier as the crease removal is excellent while retaining water for the steam function. Not the cheapest on the market but definitely worthy the money

It’s always leaked. After less than 2 years, this iron started tripping the electrics in our house. Today it completely malfunctioned - the limescale ‘collector’ made a huge bang as it exploded out of the iron. It force of it broke its own catch as it did so and flew 3m across the room - fortunately nobody else was home and stood in the vicinity. Unsafe and now have to have Amazon try to repair it.

This iron can be heavy after using for a while but that's good for some, it makes ironing easier and for 2 adults and 2 kids its great. We don't iron everything but this gets through it in no time. The steam is really powerful and auto temperature seems to work fine (and quick heat up). As the steam system is onboard unlike my old one which was a tank separate this drinks water but the top up hole is large and no bother to fill with water. It also was the filter in the base so should not need distilled water. I did hardcore research for an iron and been very happy with this purchase.

Why on earth did I wait so long to get one of these irons. It’s a dream, no altering settings for different materials it very cleverly works it out. NEVER BURNS any clothing and it’s quite powerful. Takes lots of water and needs topping up but that’s a small issue compared to performance. Ironing done in such a short time compared to my old iron. Such great value as it saves time, not too heavy and is easy to use. Switches itself off after about 8 minutes of non use, brilliant.

Received item in a pretty damaged box, not sure if new or refurbished item.

Value for Money

This iron started leaking brown water from the steam vents after only a short time of use. The vents are not clogged, yet dirty water keeps coming out and staining my clothes and ironing board. On top of that, it has been a horrible experience buying from outside my country. If I had bought it locally, I could have returned it and gotten my money back immediately. Instead, I am now stuck dealing with the Philips repair center to fix a product that should never have failed this way. Very poor quality and a complete waste of money.

Liking this iron. No temperature switching in-between. Be it cotton, silk or any other materials, ease of mind and smooth too.

Overall the iron is working as expected however it doesnt have the proper boost steam , also the regular steam i highly doubt strong as described... I purchased it because it showed highest steam power from all the competitors
