Love! Love! Love! It keeps my dog’s food fresh and holds so much! My dogs are horrible at breaking into their dog food and they haven’t been able to break into it! Huge plus is that it’s air tight and keeps pests out! It does need a bit of force to open it but I personally prefer it to. Very easy to clean and maintain! Will be purchasing again for my cat’s food!

First off, it does hold quite a bit of dry cat kibble. And is easy to transport with indented handles. But? The lid was awkward and difficult to unscrew, unless you have someone else holding the bottom still while you try to wrangle and twist the top off. I'll keep it for now, maybe I'll get better at trying to get the lid off. Or maybe I'll repurpose it and use it to hold salt for sprinkling on our wintry icy pathways and stairs.

I feed the neighborhood feral cats (who have been neutered and vaccinated). Due to all of the other critters that live nearby, the bowl is now in my gated covered entryway (still doesn’t deter the !%*#! birds). I totally freaked out when I picked up the food bowl before going to bed, and found it swarming with tiny ants, and I was bitten 3 times. The plastic food storage container with a hinged snap-down lid had also been invaded! I covered dish and container with food-grade diatomaceous earth, and searched for a solution. I already have the correct bowls, with a tiny moat around the bottom that needs to be filled with water. I had gotten lazy, so needed to go back to deterring ants from the bowl. The storage container was literally a bigger deal, and I didn’t want to throw away 20+ pounds of food, or expose the cats to chemicals. I had seen a similar storage container at a significantly higher price, and didn’t think I needed it. Not only are there ants, but raccoons have banged through the gate at 2AM, trying to steal the cat food. They’re loud enough that they wake me and I chase them away. (They’re also why I no longer leave any food out overnight!) This storage container is sturdy, it seals completely, and no ant or larger animal has breached it! It is also important to mention that I have arthritis in my hands, yet am able to easily open the top to get to the cat food, and to lift the container. This is the perfect choice for me!
