They are fairly large but not a problem swallowing. But what I really wanted to mention was the laxative effect. I know some reviewers have mentioned it and I wanted to agree with them. I actually ordered this again because of the laxative effect - I take some strong painkillers for persistent back pain and they can block you up a bit. But two of these at night and I find no problem in the morning. More effective than prune juice, and prune juice is good. So I think you should keep that in mind, would that quality be an advantage for you or not?A while ago I found they were actually making me a bit too regular so I got some chelated magnesium to use instead for a while. You have to be careful with these ones!But like I say, I started to miss the regular laxative effect they have and ended up reordering these

I have tried loads of things to help with poor quality sleep - nothing worked without making me feel lousy the next day. These work! Since beginning to take them (though I only take half the dose and only every other day) I have been sleeping longer and better. Success! I suppose I ought to mention that they are rather big, but fine with a spoonful of kefir or yoghurt which helps them to slide down. Also, they can have a bit of an unfortunate effect at the suggested dose - bit like prunes... It is still worth it to sleep so much better!

I take a magnesium supplement every day as it helps with so many things. It eases constipation, helps me sleep better when taken before bedtime, even helps with anxiety. This Solgar Magnesium citrate has a qood absorbancy. You just need to adjust the dose if it's acting as a laxative and you don't need this effect.The only negative thing about this particular Solgar magnesium supplement is the size and shape of the pills. They are quite large and have a chalky rough surface. You have to keep it in mind if you have a problem swallowing large pills. They could be cut though if you don't mind the extra work.Hope it helps.

I’ve been struggling with predmenstrual symptoms for years now, because of my history of hormonal disbalance, few vital vitamins defficiency etc.✅So two weeks of the month I was fine, two weeks were horrible.✅First it was the bloating, like.. one day you are fine, your tummy is flat, the next day you wake up bloated. They are really really big and very hard to swallow. Even when you cut in half it scratches your throat when trying to swallow. Even if it’s beneficial as a supplement, it’s harmful in other ways.

Using this for help with chronic constipation. My husband has suffered for years with this, Has had all the remedies from GP and everything and anything he could think of including high fibre etc. Going on holidays was a nightmare, as it ruined more holidays than can be discussed.Since trying this two tablets per day. No problem. Regular toilet goer now.We did use another brand before, and it was effective, but not as good as this one. One year on this has changed his life. It just works. PLUS, he now says the skin itching he suffered from before seems to have gone. Not sure if there is a link.Wonderful productAnother up date, still working well for him. Plus it is helping with dry eyes. He tells me that if he misses taking them, he is soon back tochronic constipation. I am now using the magnesium body butter [cannot take the pills] and I find I sleep so well. seems this mineral issomething a lot of us need. Expensive, but worth every penny. Should we be able to get them on prescription, may save the GP, loads of money in Prescriptions? Just a thought.One year on, and we tried a different brand as the their were capsules and not so big.
