Rock Solid - A gym in a box. Very impressed
Been eyeing something like these up for a while, to use instead of my outdoor pull up bar during the long, cold and wet Scottish winter months. First of all, delivery was prompt, a day earlier than predicted by Amazon's tracking. The product itself is extremely well packed, every part is individually wrapped and secured with cable ties. I can't remember seeing something so well packed before via mail order. The bars are indeed a nice matt black, slightly textured finish. Time to assemble was about 20 mins, "helped" by an enthusiastic 2 year old and a mad kitten. You'll need a 3/4 spanner for the nuts. The feet are solid, chunky affairs. You should feel pretty stable, unless you try using them on a laminate or similar surface. You'll want carpet, mat etc so they don't slide. Aside from that, they are perfect. You can do inverse rows and tricep push-ups with just the one parallette, obviously for dips and L-sits you'll need both. They are a good height. I have monkey arms, but was able to get full range of motion from the floor. Back levers are also possible (well, in my case, only the early stages of one). Unless you have freakishly long arms, you should be fine getting airborne. With dips you will need to bend your knees but that helps work the core so all good. I tried dips, l-sits, a very poor planche, inverse rows ( for you Convict Conditioners these are ideal for Step 2),a back lever and the aforementioned triceps skull crusher. All perfectly stable. I hate it when people review things they have only just bought ,but seriously, if I don't get back into shape , it's because I've been too lazy to use it. I cannot find fault with this. If you're on the fence, get off it, buy these, and start building some serious strength. Update 2017-01-09 : you can also hang gymnastic rings from these to make press-ups more challenging. Flys could also be incorporated, though you will have to experiment with the correct placement of the bars. Still loving them This is a portable gym, limited only by your own motivation and innovation, for a ridiculously cheap price. Considering the build quality and free delivery, this price is an absolute steal. Update: 2022-08-02 Turns out I'm a lazy bugger. Not in shape. But these are still ace.

My new favourite piece of equipment!
Absolutely fantastic Parallette bars. Where do i begin? For the price of £39.99 which they were going for when i bought them, you really can't go wrong. I toyed with the idea of making my own beforehand for a few weeks and eventually came to the conclusion that this is the best option really. You get a lifetime guarantee with gravity fitness, they're solidly built, lightweight and easy to put up. Honestly, an awesome investment and worth paying for. I chose to go through amazon because of the free delivery whereas on the official website the price is the same but you need to pay for delivery. They also arrived like 2 days later too so an excellent service. In regards to the bars themselves, they're a nice height (about hip height on me, i'm 5' .6'') and make it easy to start off working with exercises like leg raises, dips, invert push ups, etc. They're relatively lightweight and don't take up a huge amount of room. They're aesthetically pleasing (a nice matte black) and sturdy. I haven't had any issues with any movement whatsoever while I've been swinging around on them and my housemate also had a play and i'm 77kg, he's 92kg. The only points i'd suggest noting really before considering these options are; 1. The bars are a little small in diameter so at first they're a little awkward to get used to (feels like the handles should be slightly bigger - but could put tape around them to make them more comfortable) - They're very grippy and no issues with slipping, just a little thin on the hands 2. I can't fully outstretch my legs to the floor when hanging them for dips so definitely need to bend the legs (only really noticeable when changing from handstands to v-sits, have to tuck legs in rather than swing) (Also note, I've not seen any taller than these so it's not really an issue, just a note) Seriously though, all in all these are an absolute incredibly fantastic product and i'd recommend them to anyone. I will certainly be looking at the smaller ones in future when i'm a little stronger too. I'll upload some photos as soon as i can to show Any questions, just ask!

Strong, easy to put together, but not steady (base on one of the dip bars wobbles)
It's good for the price & is very easy to put together. It holds me well, however, one of the dip bars wobbles and the other does not. One of the square bars on the one that wobbles seems to have a slight upward curve that is causing it. I have had to put an object underneath the dip bars to prevent wobbling. If you need something simple, this will do the job. I can practice my handstands on it, inverted rows, leg raises, dips & work on my front lever (at 5 foot 9). All in all pleased, but disappointed at the wobble

Excellent buy
Good quality, well made and easy to put together. Not the cheapest but at the maximum height they are higher than a lot of others. The diameter of the bars is just right and I have suffered no wobble.

Not a single negative thing to say. These are great
I recently started a calisthenics exercise routine based around use of parallettes. I initially purchased a low, long, wooden set of parallettes from another company. When I realised that there were exercises that I could not do on that low set (e.g. my abdominal muscles are not yet up to doing the tuck hold to L-sit that appears in day 1 of the exercise programme), I figured to build up to being able to do those, I needed more vertical space to play with. I therefore bought these Gravity Fitness Parallettes, Dip Bars. I am still working on the tuck hold to L-sit, but these are definitely helping. I also use these for (not surprisingly) dips, and will be progressing to doing more advanced stuff on these as my ability improves. The simple summary of what I think of these Gravity Fitness Parallettes is that I love them. They are ideal for the use I have them for. In fact, I am so impressed, that I have bought another pair of Gravity Fitness Parallettes, higher than my existing wooden ones, but significantly lower than these. The Gravity Fitness Parallettes are easy to assemble (one spanner required), are very solid, have good grip, and look really professional. Highly recommended.

Amazing
These are awesome. I've had these for over a month now and have used several times a week for dips, inverted rows and various other bodyweight exercises. They are showing no signs of coming loose or falling apart, they're very stable and they don't rock or move around while using them.My main concern before buying was if they were high enough to properly perform dips; at 5'11 they're perfectly fine for this purpose. I'm also using them for inverted rows, leg raises, knee ups, inverted pull-up/chin up variations etc. There's a huge range of bodyweight exercises possible with a bit of research online. My overall thoughts are for what's roughly the cost of 1 months gym membership I've now got a piece of study equipment for life. Also worth mentioning I'm not great at DIY and had no problem putting them together, All you need is a spanner. They don't take up too much space either if you sit them in-side each other.

Average
Okay bit of kit. The finish is a really nice matt black coating and the bars are a good width so as to enable use without training gloves. Assembly is easy with a 19mm spanner which is not included. The bases of the feet could've done with a rubber pad on the bottom to avoid slipping on a wooden floor, I use them on foam mats to avoid this. Also slightly slopily made, when assembled, the feet on one side of the one bar are not exactly parralel, see pics - I think the actual top bars are though, so it doesn't interfere with the functionality hence I can't be bothered to send back for a replacement but it does slightly mess with my OCD. A bit overpriced for what it is.

Perfect, very strong and sturdy and should last
Perfect, very strong and sturdy and should last. very easy to put together, less than 10minutes with a basic 8" wrench im 5,10 and can easily dip and now trying to do more advance stuff I am leaving in the garden all year so may just have to try stop water penetrating the screws but no big deal. Now i must start to get good with them edit: a week later and after all the sun we have had a lot of rain.. i leave these outside. slight rust colour on the bolts (no big deal) ill cover them in vaseline or something. but the main issue is one of the ends is not sealed correctly, as such water has entered and brown water is coming out. yes i shouldnt really leave out side, and prob wont all winter etc but ok for now... solution will have to be me sealing this end up. duct tape should do.... still 5 star though.. in garden every night, quick stop and do some dips and leg raises

Atractivo precio, estupenda calidad.

Very sturdy and easy to assemble!
I'm about 200lbs. and it feels very sturdy, no wobble or give. It arrived on time with all parts. Very easy to assemble, only 4 bolts and ready to go! Definitely would recommend!

A really good solid set of Taller Parallettes.
This review is my initial reaction and I will update in the longer term as I have experience using them. First impressions are very positive, they seem to be a well thought out and designed product and are built well with quality materials. They are certainly steady and solid and give confidence in use. As for some reviews saying they are unstable I can only imagine that the user is not practising controlled deliberate movement because it takes quite a bit of effort to get them to tilt and I don't see how this would happen with good technique. They look good and perform good. I positively recommend them and think for the price point they are a winner.

Resistant
