White Angel Wings and Halo

I normally make my children their costumes and did tinker with the idea of either fairy wings (which just weren't going to cut it on this occasion - Fairy wings are quite different from Angel wings) or making a pair of wings with purchased feathers. That idea went out the window when I saw the cost of a few feathers! Being short of any stray geese or swans to pluck I happened across these and I am so pleased I did! They arrived quickly (I think I ordered them on Friday and they arrived on the next Monday afternoon) and were well packaged in their own individual plastic cellophane sleeves. For the price, these are an absolute bargain - I was extremely pleased with them when I received them, as (to be honest) I expected them to look a bit cheap and nasty for the amount they cost. Absolutely not! They have the fluffy, downy feathers at the top, changing to longer, stronger feathers down to the base. (The base is a simple cardboard one but is fairly sturdy) The halo is an alice band with a mix of fluff and silver tinsel wound round a circlet, which is held up by two wires. (the join has a fluffy bit to cover it up) It arrives flat and you just need to twist the halo up so it sits at a right angle to the alice band. The angel wings also arrive flat and need to be opened up. Looked so lovely in her school nativity. (Yes, she is under the suggested age, being only 5, but she was closely supervised while wearing them) The feathers were well secured and I think only two fell out by the end of the performance (I think they may have had more than a little help from the wise men sitting behind her, who were quite fascinated by them!) I didn't make any adjustments to the elasticated straps, although I suppose they could have been a little bit tighter on her (she's a little bit smaller than an average 5 year old). I suspect this review sounds a bit gushy but I was genuinely surprised by the quality - If you've got children at a school where they do dress-up days (as I have) you will have seen some of the really shoddy, thin, nasty looking costumes that you can buy. These wings and halo are in a different category. If you're worried about what these are going to look like on your child - worry not! Your little angel will look adorable!

I wouldn’t say expect super high quality. It’s under £10 so it’s gonna be little low quality. Franky I’m happy with it and doesn’t break easily. A little smaller than I expect but that’s my own fault

Clearly aimed at a smallish child, these nevertheless hit the spot for the Halloween costume I am wearing as I type this. The wings are nicely feathered and attach with two elasticated (knicker elasticated) loops, although I myself have incorporated them into a T-shirt. They are a reasonable size (given in the description) and look top hole. The halo is small, fluffy and has a transparent Alice band to attach it. I've had no problems so far and it has got a lot of laughs. I can see a young child being utterly captivated by it as fancy dress. It arrived really quickly and I'd thoroughly recommend it. If only they came in charcoal grey and "sin-bound" spotted versions....

On the whole it was ok for the money for a kids/teen party but if you're an adult wanting a decent quality then don't bother. My daughter had this and she is a 16yr old, size 6 and 5 4foot....the size was perfect for her and the wings did fit very well on the back. The halo was fine. I'm not sure how long the feathers will stay on. The feathers are real too so not sure where they are from ( some poor foreign bird no doubt).

I honestly should have taken note of the advice given by all the others who gave 1 star because seriously for the price it’s one star too many. Bought for my daughters school party, but I lose more feathers from my duvet every year than is on this set! I spent ages having to realise the 8 feathers that had fallen off the wings in the packaging then gluing all the others back to the card of the wings. The headband wasn’t as bad but only because I added a meter of marabou feather trim and sprayed some holographic food grade glitter onto it to make it look more like a halo and less like a cheap plastic headband with a white metal circle on it! Rubbish really just poor quality crap and expensive at that. My five year old refused to wear it in case more feathers fell off out of embarrassment! So she was aware of how fragile the wings are, but she walked into the venue with the customised halo and was happy, but only because of the work and extra £5 I spent to make it look half decent. Waste of money 😡

Good quality and looks great! But it says it’s good for all ages and it isn’t. Bought for daughters nativity (age 6) and was a little in the big side ended up not using, deducted a star for poor description but otherwise good.

Ich hab mir die Flügel für einen Mottotag bestellt und bin komplett begeistert. Für den Preis hatte ich schon echt bammel, dass sie sofort auseinander falle. Heute sind sie angekommen und ich bin Positiv Überrascht. Sie sehen echt gut aus und sind sogar in der Mitte mit Draht verstärkt, wodurch man sie so Biegen kann, dass sie in verschiedenen Winkeln auseinder stehen. Die Federn sind auch ordentlich angeordnet. Der Haarreif ist auch vollkomen okay. Bei dem Preis wirklich sehr zu empfehlen. Es kann natürlich sein, dass einigen die Gummibänder für die Arme zu kurz sind. Bei mir sind sie perfekt aber ich bin schon ehr zierlich.

Ali e aureola esattamente come in foto. Arrivato il giorno dopo averlo ordinato, in tempo per Halloween. Sono bellissime e a mia figlia sono piaciute molto. Ottimo travestimento per Halloween ma anche per carnevale.

Perfect on their own or to use to make props! They fold too which makes storage really easy.

It's def not the best quality and it came a little dirty. It was as expected though with amazon. really cute though and def made my look :)

Son muy lindas, quedan perfectas son para mi hijo pequeño de 3 años. Están bien hechas. Me han encantado. Vienen muy bien embaladas y han llegado totalmente a tiempo
