This is a water-soluble pomade which combs through easily and sets with a firm hold and moderate shine. It is popular with those with thicker hair but be aware that it will set to a hard finish unlike petroleum-based pomades.

Do I need to use hairspray with this product?

Nope. Nothing else is needed with pomade. You just need pomade with the right level of hold, and that varies. If in doubt, go for Extra Firm. You can always lessen the amount used if it's too strong.
