I purchased this for my wife following a recommendation from my local pharmacy. It has made a big difference to her arm comfort by providing excellent support while she recovers from a long term problem. The Neo-G Arm Sling is a very good fit, is very well made and easy to use. To date my wife has used it every day as she is so pleased with the difference it has made for her. Recommended.

I had a Labrum repair (SLAP) near 4 weeks ago. During the day the need to wear the waist strap is a bit redundant. Regardless I wore the waist strap for the first 10 days as found it was good additional support. The strap over the shoulder is great. Easily adjustable to help you get it over your head. As I am finishing using this sling (4 weeks) the Velcro has worn down a bit but it is still a good product. At first I thought the waist strap goes right around the person but discovered the two Velcro ends attach to the two anchor points. This is great to loosen up at night and makes a big difference for sleeping. The product is breathable and is good support. It does not keep your arm warm which is good when sleeping. Ensure you plan ahead for your shoulder operation. Elastic laces for getting a pair of walking shoes on and off. Baggy T-shirts- Don't wear tight upper clothing. Support handle to get in and out of bath / shower. Ensure you've got something to wash your armpits for the first 2 weeks (just saying it gets smelly). Make sure you've a zip on your jeans (no buttons) as you'll discover using 1 hand is difficult. Extra pillows so you can sit up right and rest arm on. A good few TV series to watch. All in all the sling I got from the hospital was rubbish. Defiantly worth the money

If you're an adult checkout my other review. I've now got this neoG mesh sling to support by broken arm and it fits fine. I'm 6ft and my forearm would be 45cm from elbow I to middle joint on my pinky. This stops at 44 cm I would say, so not far off ideal and certainty acceptable for something they've not made just for me. With this sling ending just past my knuckles is comfy. In fact the only improvement I can think to earn that last star is if they mixed the mesh and foam variants to give you mesh for the forearm and foam for additiona support lrom the wrist through to palm of your hand. I've not experienced the concern with threading the extra neck cushion over the join in the velcro/neck strap which did concern my on the other reviews. I actually managed with the sling in situ but if you're having issues try this... Before putting it on just adjust to with longer than the approx length you need. Then thread the cushion ovev and then past the initial overlap in the velcro area. So now the pad is on the wrong side of the join and close to the wrist. Finally pop sling back over your head, adjust to fit, and then now you can slide the cushion back up and over your shoulder to cover the join (now no longer going against the join) and to finish the job. I'd imagine, yes, the velcro can catch the inside of the pad if the hook and felt aren't perfectly aligned (like the other reviewer complaining). Also if you don't have partial use of finger tips of your bad arm I can imagine the maneuver might be trickier. But with assistance would be easy. Time will tell and I will update if I experience issues but I also wonder if those suffering velcro wear are just removing it by undoing the velcro every day. You'd remove a cotton sling by lifting it over your head without undoing so why not this one ? although if you had shoulder injury I guess that is trickier. Finally the loop at the end... You put your whole hand through like you were using a bullworker, therefore spreading the load across the palm and meat if your thumb. Much better thought out than a thumb loop digging into the crook of your thumb

After having labrum repair surgery to my shoulder I was given a standard sling by the NHS, where the velcro attachments were rubbish and it didn't even last 2 weeks (My arm has to be in a sling for a minimum of 6 weeks) Also my kneck was very sore from the lack of padding and rubbing of the provided sling however this sling comes with a cushion type 'rest' that is adjustable and comfortable. I purchased this sling and it is very well made and looks much better when going out (Better than a blue velvety sling anyway!). It offers excellent support to my shoulder, breathable and lightweight and I will most likely be purchasing another one when I have my other shoulder operated on! I recommend anyone who is going to be wearing a sling for a while to buy one as this is a very good investment and you'll be much comfier than the slings provided.

Never arrived... delivery date kept changing then in the end item was lost. My son was relying on this as he has a severe brachial plexus injury and after trying out many slings this was best one. Scared of ordering again incase does the same.

Actually the better of nearly all the slings I used and tested from Amazon. I used this following a shoulder reconstruction surgery. The position and hold were really good and the mesh material was really lovely and cool so my arm didn't ever overheat. Sadly, the velcro parts aren't great quality and failed quickly. You also wouldn't want to wear this in bed (yes, you need to wear a sling in bed post shoulder surgery!) as the velcro will scratch your skin but I used a seat belt shoulder pad which helped stopped it digging in or scratching me at night. As the velcro straps degraded (over about a week!) They became more and more likely to give way and slip meaning your arm will suddenly drop. This is really bad news for your shoulder. This could be so much better with just slightly better materials. The design is actually fab but the materials are so cheap they fail quickly and leave you needing to replace it quickly. Was amazing for a week. But anything longer I would not bother especially at that price. Really disappointed overall.

I brought this as the sling from hospital the Velcro was cutting my neck and wrist was getting 'floppy wrist'. I needed it as a fully tore the bicep and tendon. It was delv next day. I cupped the arm very well, it is messed so stopped the sweating compared to NHS sling. The wrist was supported. The strap is same width as Velcro so no digging into my skin or making it red. The strap had a cushion sleeve to which really helped and got rid of the sore which I got from the NHS one. The only bad point I can find is maybe they should add a spare strap sleeve cover so you can wash the other as the get the rubbing part start to smell after a few weeks due to sweat off my neck. (maybe get one from pound shop?) I am so happy I brought this 1000% recommended.. even the hospital staff liked it!!

I messed my shoulder up (again) and the one the hospital gave me was horrendous the strap cut into my neck and was hot (I live in Florida). I got this one because I may need surgery (again) and will probably have use for it in the future I am a goof! It is very adjustable with lots of straps! It has a really nice neck cushion (could be a bit bigger) so that the weight isn't cutting into your neck. I really didn't need the immobilization part but it does come with a strap for that and seems like it would do the job really well. It does have an inner loop apparently for your fingers most have it for your thumb but this one is big as you can almost fit your hand into it. I do wish that was adjustable but it is not. It also breathes very well even though it is black (but black can be good as it doesn't stand out as much). I'm 5'8" and it fits me quite well with plenty of adjustability left!
