Works well with old monitors
I work in IT, and found that getting DisplayPort-to-VGA adapters that include the cable (rather than getting the little boxes that make you use your own VGA cable) save a lot of hassle. I've had a few of the boxes just not work on some systems (but work fine on others), but adapters with the cable included always seem to just work. Anyway, these worked well.

It Works

Works...but..be careful...
The cables work fine: connected from a Dell Optiplex 5050 to separate Dell monitors, DP ports to VGA. But be careful and gentle when attaching the VGA to VGA cable ends on monitors. Like so many other cable manufacturers, the knurls used to screw in the VGA connectors are not quality material and not designed and molded to allow easy use. The screw knurls are too close to the cord to use your fingers, and when a slotted blade screwdriver is used, the blade easily strips the slot. Be careful, be gentle.
