Effective, Clean Kill, Super Useful
I was troubled by mice for quite some time. Much as I love 'T&J' cartoons, I hate the real things. Clean, humane way is not for me because there is a problem disposing and the buggers return and breed in thousands. Poisoning is dangerous to other animals who may eat the dead mice. So mice traps like this one are the best.I was troubled by the reviews that said that these didn't trap at all or cleanly kill. Even though a bit sceptical, I thought that loss of £12 or so, may not be too bad. I got the package yesterday - 5 units. I set two in the kitchen at night. When I woke up in the morning there was one dead mouse. Looking at the way the mouse was trapped and killed, I think that the unit is fantastic. As to the naysayers, I don't doubt their words, but I must make the following points:- Weak springs/doesn't kill: It is possible that some units may be defective. One look at my photo should disprove this. It is also possible that you caught a rat in a mouse trap. The trap can possibly trap a young rat also but rats have larger bodies and hence trap may not be able to kill. For rats, buy the bigger rat traps.- Never caught the vermin: Mice have habits and will visit same places. They have their scent marks and trails that they keep following. Set the trap where you found their droppings earlier. I set two traps yesterday and the one that trapped the mouse was on the shelf where I found droppings earlier.- Bait: Use peanut butter or nuts like peanut. Cheese and chocolate may work. I used peanuts.I am highly satisfied. I product is reusable. Please dispose the dead mice immediately and properly.

Only effective method
Like other reviewers I tried humane solutions then every poison available with limited results. Poison does eventually kill off one generation but not before they've bred several others. They tend to stay within about 15- 30' of their nest. Mice don't choose only dirty houses but they will make even the cleanest home dirty. The trail of droppings and oil droplets is a beacon to other mice. Mice are like us they want warmth and food, my bird food and dry dog food, so put these in strong plastic boxes, they can't smell it and they can't get to it. Lesson learned they will gnaw thru' thick layers of cardboard, wood and heavy duty plastic bags and will scale most obstacles. Make sure they can't get into your rubbish bins. Check where they might be getting into the house eg washing machine /boiler pipes they will enlarge holes so block with wire wool. Reluctantly I decided to use these traps - buy more than u think you'll need and be patient. I put a very small amount (u want them to go onto the trap) of peanut butter, the recommended stuff and dried dog food in different traps. I can't say one was better than the other. I put them under kitchen cabinets and in quiet corners along skirting boards etc anywhere where there had been droppings. Then don't touch or move the traps - the mice have to get used to them and be hungry! After about a week I heard one trap go under the sink. With some trepidation I checked. No blood no smell a very quick clean neck break. Using thick rubber gloves (for hygiene and also keeps your scent of the trap for re setting) I held the trap over a bag to release the mouse, easy and very simple for even the squeamish! Two of the other traps had also worked and continued to do so over the next few days. I leave them down now in a few areas and check every so often. In old houses mice will always find a way in.

Yes! got rid of unwanted mice!
Done what it was supposed to do;) sometimes they're very tricky and sensitive and close when being set up but work great and do the trick.

Just add peanut butter!
Excellent product and it caught many rats and mice when I added peanut butter. Solved my problem quickly and efficiently.

Save your money. These do not work.
Have a mouse problem in my bungalow and these traps have probably made it worse. They arrived in a plain box with no instructions or strategies so had to do some research. Pit a pea sized amount of peanut butter in each and hoped for a good catch the following morning. Caught none and all peanut butter gone. Tried again the following both. Same result. Not one trap spring but bait all gone. Tried one more night and turned traps around. Still woke up to find empty traps. Mice are well fed now and have probably told their mates there's free food to be had. I do not know how people can write 5 star reviews on this product. Do not waste your money on these traps. Either the mice are too clever or the trap mechanism is rubbish. So disappointed so I m going for sticky boards instead.

Looks like a trap which should kill mice rapidly once you can make them gnaw on the bait. I have not caught any mice in 3 weeks with these. Moreover, they seem to be able to lick peanut butter out of the bait container without getting trapped. They seem to have touched half of the traps I put in the areas where they make the most noise. This shows that one must be careful to put only a tiny amount of bait (max. the size of a peppercorn) at the bottom of the container. On the other hand, peanut butter in itself does not seem to be enough: one must choose something more solid/sticky. I am currently trying the cotton/peanut butter combo and planning to glue toffee/dog food/chocolate in the bait container. Let's see if this is more effective.

Gute Schlagkraft

Mausefallen
Prima Mausefallen, funktionieren super. Sehr starke Feder, so das die Tiere nicht leiden müssen. Als Köder benutze ich sehr gerne Rosinen, oder Nutella oder beides, ist besser als Käse und die anderen Lockmittel. Kann ich nur Empfehlen.
