I bought the Slick Gorilla hair styling powder for my sons and my husband and they all absolutely love it. It gives their hair great volume and texture without making it look greasy or heavy. The finish is natural and matte, which looks much better than shiny gels or waxes. It is really easy to use, just a small amount shaken onto the roots and worked through with fingers. It holds the style well throughout the day but still allows the hair to move naturally. They also like that it does not leave any sticky residue on their hands. This has definitely become a regular in our house now. Great product, works well on different hair types and keeps their styles looking fresh all day.

I am a child of the 80's. The main hair products available at that time were mousse and gel. Anything with at least an 'extra, extra' hold rating would suffice! Gel came in a variety of colours which had no effect on your hair whatsoever, and I would put about as much as i could onto my head to ensure a nice thick covering to maintain the 'wet look' all day. You could have dropped a bowling ball onto my head and it would of cracked in two. Then came wax, and hair didnt have to look wet all day. Suddenly the idea of 'less is more' became popular, a a standard tin would last months instead of days. In more recent years we have been treated to 'putty, mud and paste'. Thus far I have refrained from applying mud to my hair, but I do like to keep abreast of new and innovative hair products, while I still have hair to style. I saw a couple of videos of people applying texturizing powder and being the modern man I had to try it for myself. The bottle arrived and the first thing I noticed was how much space was left in the container. Yes, the description says its 20 grams but the bottle could probably hold 50. I liberally dusted my hand with the powder and rubbed it into my palms as instructed. I was hoping for something that wouldn't leave my hands as sticky as wax did, but the powder quickly turns into a paste which you then run through your hair and style as normal. Once in however, it doesnt leave your hair feeling sticky. My hair is quite thick so I am always looking for something that gives it a bit more style rather than looking like a solid mass on my head. The product itself works quite well and I was able to style some definition into my fringe, and was able to rework throughout the day. It doesn't provide a firm hold so the wind is its natural enemy but again, a quick ruffle with my fingers and it returned to formation. My main gripe would be the amount you get. Assuming you use 1 gram per use (more if you want more definition), the bottle will last less than 3 weeks. I have tubs of wax that are still half full after several months. So it comes down to weather or not the extra cost is offset by superior styling. Personally I did like the product, but I dont think I can justify the cost to sit in an office all day with fabulously styled hair. I may save it, and break it out for special occasions.

I bought this after seeing it used in a few barbers. I'd previously been using Fudge Styling Powder, which I'd been really impressed with, so I thought this was worth a try. It certainly does what it's supposed to do, adding texture and volume with a natural-looking finish. However, for me it just doesn't quite match the Fudge product. It's difficult to put my finger on exactly why, but sometimes a product just doesn't click. One thing I wasn't keen on was the feel it leaves on your hands after application, and I also think the packaging looks a little cheaper than some of the alternatives. That's not a reflection of how it performs, but first impressions do count. It's by no means a bad product, and I can see why it's popular. It's simply not my personal favourite, and once I've finished this pack I'll go back to using Fudge instead.

Great product, holds well for short hair and adding volume.

Although it seems marketed to male hair, I find it the best product for my fine hair and t styles very well without being sticky and heavy. A little is just needed.

Excellent: 1) the volume is smaller than I expected, but I haven't ran out of it after two months use 2) the product works as described, easy to apply and style your hair with it 3) it's not as sticky and smelly as hair gel and hair wax 4) the downside of this product is the time for shipment. It takes about two weeks to ship it to Canada (maybe because it was from UK?)

Sono della generazione del gel usato senza limiti. Tra abuso di prodotti e genetica, con il tempo i miei capelli hanno iniziato a indebolirsi, assottigliarsi e cadere. Ho quindi cambiato look e, su consiglio del parrucchiere, ho scoperto le polveri volumizzanti: è stato subito amore. Non trovandole facilmente al supermercato, mi sono buttato su Amazon. Questa polvere è una delle prime che ho provato anni fa. All'inizio la scelsi per il prezzo rispetto ad altre (non aveva molte recensioni). Nel tempo, ho continuato a ricomprarla. Le recensioni positive parlano chiaro, ma per me conta soprattutto una cosa: funziona davvero. Non ho mai sentito il bisogno di provare alternative. Fissa bene ma permette di modificare l’acconciatura in qualsiasi momento. L’effetto visivo è naturale: capelli morbidi, pieni e in ordine. Al tatto risultano morbidi, ma attenzione a non esagerare, perché troppa polvere può renderli un po’ crespi (solo al tatto, non alla vista). Consiglio d’uso: applicatela sempre su capelli asciutti. Io capovolgo la confezione e do 4-5 colpetti direttamente sulla testa, poi distribuisco con le dita come durante uno shampoo e infine modello i capelli come preferisco. Curiosamente, il risultato migliore si vede il giorno dopo: i capelli diventano ancora più naturali, morbidi e mantengono perfettamente la piega. È un prodotto che ho consigliato a molti amici e nessuno si è mai pentito. Consigliatissima.

Me va genial. Tengo el pelo fino y este polvo me aporta mucho volumen sin apelmazarlo. Además, deja un acabado mate con ese efecto “playa” o despeinado que buscaba, pero sin dar sensación de pelo sucio. Aguanta bien durante todo el día y permite remodelar el peinado con las manos si hace falta. Con muy poca cantidad es suficiente, así que cunde bastante. Sin duda, repetiré.

Je suis un homme, avec des cheveux mi-long et une perte de densité vers le vertex. J'utilise cette poudre pour donner du volume aux cheveux, et ça fonctionne très bien. Et en prime, ça peut remplacer la cire pour la tenue de la coiffure.
