Excellent device
After attending the speed awareness course, i figured I'd invest in a detector to save further hassle in the future. After a number of days seriously looking into the various models available, I came across this one with good reviews.I've now owned two of these devices, as the first one had a faulty suction mount and had the unlucky scenario of it sliding across the dash and out of the passenger window after 3 days.Lets talk about that for a minute...On this second unit, the suction windscreen mount has a two stage click; a small one that requires less force to locate, and a second one that really holds the device secure which requires a bit more force to engage. Once it is fully locked in, there should be 10mm between the detector and the curved bend in the mount. There is no way the device will fall off, whether it's it's your standard soft suspension in a Fiesta or something stiff like a track kit car, the latching system inspires confidence.Shame the first unit didn't work like this and the manual did not really cover how well the mount holds the device and only to ensure it's securely mounted to the window. (not a complaint, just an observation)After looking at seller feedback when i contacted Aguri support, I did see that another buyer had experienced the same so possible there's a few poorly constructed units out there in regard to the mount mechanism. Hopefully some new & old owners will see the above and get them to check the mount system before potentially loosing their purchase like i did.the unit itself does not feel cheap, and buttons do not feel like they'll fall apart any time soon.I have played around with the various sensitivities on the unit but found the factory default detection setup works well. Other cars with radar have not triggered the unit, i've had very few false positives (auto doors do trigger it when driving around the carpark in-front of shops), but in a way i like that as it shows the device is working and can be used for testing. The device is plenty loud enough with it's alerts and it also seems to have an 'end of threat'. Definitely does it for GPS location cameras but since I've only had the device for a few days, not been able to tell if this is also on live detection (K-band/laser) yet.Visually, the display is clear even in sunlight.Update of GPS database was positive; downloads were fast - a few minutes at most.Speaking of updates, i did notice that when i connected the device to my PC, it asked if i wanted to format the device. I chose not to (didn't know the consequences of doing so, so i left it alone), updated the GPS db via the Aguri tool and everything worked as expected.I really am struggling to find a fault with the unit, or Aguri support. Impressive all round.Maybe a light sensor so the display auto-dims based on ambient light but that would be icing on the cake!

Aguri Skyway ๐
I have had a road Angel for many years now. But was searching for a newer model for a while now and doing alot of researching. I have never heard of Aguri Skyway before and came across it on Amazon here so I read all the reviews and decided I would go with it. I received the Aguri Skyway in 3 days which was very fast and I was well impressed with the delivery service outstanding. This product came in a very impressive box all wrapped up in a clear wrapping film to protect from fingerprint's and smudges. Very easy to install as it could be hardwired to the vehicle as I have not because I will be taking it out and using it in our F150 truck when i go back to Canada dont know how it will work but I will give a further update when I get it over there. This device works very well picking up cameras I didn't know where there at all. I do alot of driving in the Northern Ireland and the South of Ireland too it picks up all the gatsco vans and the risk zones and even cameras on traffic lights too I did not know where there at all. So I have to say this is a fantastic piece of kit and especially as its free updates for life too. I have highly recommend this product to other friends of mine too. I also recommend using the Veil V5 to paint over the lights and the plate to block that laser too which I have installed .So I give this product a Big 5 stars

Neat device somewhat let down by the manual and quality of the software.
First of all thanks to Amazon and Aguri, a very fast delivery and all the components were there. I copied the manual from the CD to my computer and noticed two things straight away.It was not immediately obvious how to attach it to the windscreen - I was googling images to find an example and eventually found one. It would have been so easy to have provided a picture. However, once I understood the configuration it was not hard to install it. I already have a sat nav running off the cigar-lighter socket but luckily I also have a socket doubler, so that's what I've used. There's a cable to directly wire the Skyway device to the car's electrics but it seems to require a car electrician.Device configuration is as hard as it always is with multi-mode push buttons. Why not add a configuration tool - basically an e-form - to be used when the device is plugged into the PC? It would make all the difference.I did manage to update the speed camera database without difficulty. The documentation said that this was unnecessary as the device ships up-to-date but (a) I never believe that, and (b) I wanted to know how it worked. In use, the built-in camera database warns about speed cameras, usually a verbal warning of the relevant speed limit. Most roadside cameras emit "K-band radar" and a polite female voice announces this, also with bleeping. Unfortunately, so do automatic doors at supermarkets and garages, so it's an annoyance you just have to put up with.Laser (lidar) is announced with a voice warning and a different tone - I've only had this once."Like most things, it's a bit fiddly when it first arrives. You have to read the documentation carefully. But its default settings don't really have to be altered. There's a volume control on the side which is essential to avoid being deafened! The two rubber suction pads go on the windscreen and the metal tab is bent around so that the device doesn't slide off. The narrow end with the display faces the driver. So yes, not a gimmick, a very useful tool if you basically drive at the speed limit but occasionally stray a little too fast. It should slow you down again and avoid those three points and a fine.
