Plastic Watch Crystal Scratch Remover Polish 5 ml Tube

The saviour of vintage watches, and the reason I generally prefer acrylic to sapphire. Sure, sapphire is much harder to scratch, but when you do it means being constantly annoyed as you glance down at your nice timepiece, or spending on replacement. To any old-hands out there, PolyWatch is basically like an improved version of the toothpaste or brasso trick (yes, you really can use toothpaste to remove scratches from acrylic glass, as my DateJust will attest to from an incident on holiday recently). Whilst these will need multiple applications and can only really remove light scratches, PolyWatch can remove some fairly deep marks. All it takes is a little elbow grease. Just try and ensure that you don't get any on the bezel or any other painted surfaces of the watch; as an abrasive this will start to strip those also. Thanks to this stuff, I almost enjoy getting scratches on my vintage watches, safe in the knowledge that I can quickly buff them out again. Please note that this will not work on sapphire glass or mineral glass. If you have some random or proprietary glass, like the Seiko harldex, you can readily find info on forums as to the suitability of PolyWatch

Purchased to try and remove some of the scratches in my Casio watch with a mixture of deep and light scratches. As reported by others, tube of product was very small, well packaged but sufficient amount of product to clean multiple watches. While it did not remove all the scratches, it did improve the overall look of the watch face, removing some of the lighter scratches and making the watch face look much better. For the price paid, happy with the results and would consider using again.

Having been aware of Polywatch for some time, I never thought I'd need it, or at least not so soon! I purchased a brand-new Speedmaster pro (hesalite crystal) a couple of weeks back, and whilst I've been taking general care of it, I was forced to perform some maintenance work on my car, not thinking It'd be anything too strenuous, I decided not to take off my watch, which after finishing, had numerous nasty scratches on the face - this for me was heartbreaking, and took some of the shine off having a nice watch. I (reluctantly) bought some Polywatch after making sure I wans't going to damage the watch further, nor remove any special coatings, and with trepidation, set to polishing - I'm not going to lie, I was nervous as hell. I needn't have worried, about 30 seconds with the Polywatch and a glasses cleaning cloth, the scratches were removed effectively, followed by another going over to catch a few missed ones, and the crystal is like new! It also has the benefit of removing marks from polished stainless finishes - just be sure to do your homework before trying this on an expensive watch, or anything you'd hate to ruin - and don't get it on any printed or brushed surfaces - mask things off if you're concerned about it.

Got a light scratch across my Garmin screen annoyingly while doing jobs in the garden. Hoped this would help cover it up but no difference at all

Does work but needs a lot of rubbing. Even more now Fitbit face is pretty old and more scratched!

This is excellent stuff. I used it to remove scratches on a pair of reading glasses with excellent results. I applied the paste to the lens and rubbed with cotton wool as directed. You will need to reapply several times to build it up. Use a clean piece of cotton wool to buff. Patience is key as it takes time, but much less expensive than new glasses.

So you can use this to remove scratches on plastic glasses lenses (which is almost all of them these days) and it does give great results but be aware this is not a simple process. Do not attempt it unless you have a spare pair of glasses, a lot of patience and preferably a polishing tool with pads such as a Dremel. The problem is most plastic lenses have coatings on them to prevent scratches (I know ironic isn't it) and also provide other benefits such as preventing reflections and fogging up. These coatings are very hard to remove and will go instantly misty as soon as you start to use any polishing compound (such as this) on them. This means your glasses will be very quickly completely unusable and unfortunately it will take a lot of time and effort before they will be clear again. I personally attempted using the polyWatch on a spare pair of glasses on one side of one lens and after giving up trying to get the coating off by hand I eventually got out the Dremel and managed to get it crystal clear. However this lens is of course now without it's coatings on one side so isn't as resistive to reflections but thankfully it doesn't appear to have affected the prescription. So to summarise, yes you can, but it ain't easy!

polishes and cleans only. does not appear to remove scratches. to remove scratches you need to do some real scratch removal.I noted someone else used a pebble as an example. so I have done the same. Note that the pebble is a very soft screen and therefore should be easier to remove scratches. The 1st two pictures are before shots. The 3rd is after 20 minutes work...... not good. you want a shine then this will give that to you, but I was unable to get any more. I think you have to sand in steps as on youtube 600 grit then 1000, 1200, 1500, 3000 etc. Then maybe this would have value tiny MOUNT IN TUBE.

Es un excelente producto pero deben saber esto; funciona de maravilla en caratulas de reloj de acrílico, resina o plexiglass. Aqui dejo las imágenes de como quedo mi Casio tenia muchos rayones ahora apenas se ven las marcas de los que eran rayones mas profundos. Recomiendo no colocar tanta fuerza en el pulido para no rayar accidentalmente la caratula con la uña. En vez de eso duren mas tiempo puliendo con una microfibra (unos 15 a 20 min) consideren también que rayones muy profundos va a ser mas difícil quitarlos pero aún asi mejorará mucho la vista de sus relojes.

プラスチック素材は、問題なく綺麗にしあがります。 ガラスでも、綺麗にはなります。ただ深いキズはなくならないのが印象です。 綺麗にはなったので、ある程度の効果はあるかなとおもいました。

PREMESSA il prodotto si chiama POLY Watch e già dal nome si deve intuire che è una pasta abrasiva specifica per superfici in POLIMETILMETACRILATO e POLICARBONATO, insomma quella che chiamiamo plastica trasparente. I colleghi recensori che danno una stella perché provano ad usarlo sul vetro di telefoni, smart watch e simili senza risultati sono la prova che in Italia dobbiamo puntare ancora molto sull'istruzione elementare. Per quello per cui è venduto, funziona PERFETTAMENTE e velocemente. Non lascia graffi, non lascia aloni, ha rimosso 60 anni di uso da una parte in plastica di una mia vecchia macchina fotografica, tornata nuova. Impressionante, poi ho controllato l'azienda e ovviamente è tedesca, come sempre ne sanno una più del diavolo. Il nome dell'azienda è STARK Innovation GmbH, non mi stupirei se il CEO si chiamasse Tony e avesse una strana tuta in metallo. Unico appunto agli acquirenti: è un tubetto MOLTO piccolo, sono 5 grammi: ne basta veramente pochissimo per un orologio/parte in plastica di modeste dimensioni, puo durare molte applicazioni e per 6 Euro sono ben spesi. Se pero dovete attaccare parti più grandi come fari di auto o 4x4 cercherei decisamente altro. Dieci stelle.
