Well worth it. Really cleans up the sanding belts for repeated uses without losing grit and cuts costs.

Brilliant! Leaves sanding belt like new. I've tried cleaning my belt sander with plastics before (an old toothbrush for example) but this Silverline block is simply excellent. Cleaning takes seconds and only a little bit is worn from this block, so it will last for a long time. It's a must-have item for conditioning many types of sanding belts, spindles, pads and discs. It may also cut down on the risk of burn which sometimes happens from clogged sanding belts/discs or when the belt/disc spins too fast for the material (eg hardwoods). You'll wonder why you didn't get one of these blocks sooner!

It's a good cleaner, although just a touch likely to gum up. Be aware that it's a little narrow, but dose a decent job especially on my belt sander. And it's already paid for itself a few times,my consumption of sander belts has dropped drastically. It's also decent on hand sanding blocks, so again worth having. Apart from the slight guming issue it seems alright, but I suspect that it will have a finite limit, but at the price easily replaced.

If you're like me and you're buying this to clean a skateboard then you might be interested to know how good it is for this purpose and what I found: In the case of dried dirt this stuff cleans it like erasing pencil marks form paper, it’s great, it acts just like a giant eraser. For fresh mud if obviously makes sense to allow it to dry before trying cleaning it off. Although for dirt that was really ground into the tape it was slightly harder to remove the dirt no matter how hard I tried, I was slightly disappointed as my board wasn't actually looking that much cleaner and I certainly wasn't getting the 'good as new' effect that I had been told this could produce. After experimenting a little I found that if you add a dash of water to the top of your grip tape and then use this on the wet tape it lifts the dirt off the tape and into the water (you can tell by the water becoming a brown-dirty colour) this dirty water can be tipped off and the mud goes with it, leaving you with a very clean board once it dries. I'm giving it 5* because even though I'm not using this for a belt sander like it should, it still gives great results!

Sanding sheets or disks inevitably get clogged when used and then need replacing. WRONG! I don’t know why I had never heard of these before but they are so simple and effective in refurbishing the sanding surface so that they don’t need replacing. I haven’t worked out whether they are cheaper than replacing the sanding sheet but they are certainly useful if you don’t have replacements readily available. Also it’s better for the environment as clogged disks aren’t ending up in landfill.

What a surprise.... this actually works and works well. Having had the misfortune of trying other Silverline tools in the past and how incrediably bad they were I was expecting the same from this but in this instance Silverline has actually made something good! This is very easy to use you just touch it lightly up against a sanding belt or disc when the machine is running and it cleans it therefore prolonging the life of the abrasives and improving their cutting efficiency. I use mine on a daily basis and it's still pretty much the same size as when new so I would imagine this block will last me a good few years at least. Take it from someone who has really tested this out in a workshop environment daily for the last month that is definitely well worth the money and works exactly as it should.

Does the job. Pricey for what it is and for the size.

A bit harder than the last one but does the job of cleaning sandpaper and tools admirably. Not very rubbery as stated like my last one which was a softer compound. I would say yes worth the money and does what it says. Would definitely by again once used up.

Certo può sembrare l'uovo di Colombo, ma intanto nessuno ci aveva pensato prima. Si tratta di un blocco di gomma tipo "para " che, strofinata sulla carta vetrata ne asporta polveri e quant'altro abraso e rimasto incastrato nella grana. Efficacissimo in particolare con gli abrasivi montati sulle levigatrici dove il risultato è istantaneo. Può utilmente essere adoperato per cancellare i segni di matita ed altra sporcizia dai pezzi di legno lavorato. Può essere sostituita da una suola di para di vecchie scarpe, previa asportazionedalla tomaia (lavoro non facile), ma la forma ricavata non è ovviamente ottimale. Acquisto consigliatissimo visto il costo crescente degli abrasivi, raddoppiandone la durata.

The cleaner works fine on small sanding belts, but is to small for larger ones.
