Question is a bit of a two part question but is this the genuine TRX set ? and would you reccomend for home work outs ?

The one I bought last year on Black Friday was 100% genuine. It worked with app that TRX have for this and was recognised as genuine. I think though that TRX have updated the name for it since last year and it's now called TRX Tactical. To your second part, yes, I use this mainly at home and it allows me to work out, though as others have said the door stuff is great but I have to remind the kids not to open it if they are on the other side (it does come with a door handle reminder). I am in the process of putting it on my back wall as well (my wife won't allow me to mount to the ceiling in the house). If you are in the UK, don't bother getting the full on TRX anchoring kit, I would just go down to Screwfix and get a 8mm Stainless Marine shackle (about 20% of the anchor kit and you get 2).
