Does this appear to be oily at all? I have quite oily skin and worried I may end up with a shiny face?

Personally I would say no as I have oily skin and it seems fine on my skin. Not shiny at all.

I'm quite pale, I was just wondering if its too dark for pale skin?

Ive got a medium toned skin, I got this one because I didnt want too sharp a contour. I would say this is perfect for fair skin completely. :)

What shade would be suitable for Indian skin tone which is on the light side?

If you're light skin tone then this should be fine for you. If your slightly darker tone then best to get universal.

Does it come with instructions on how to apply

I am not 100% sure because I purchased a long time ago, however, if it doesn't you can always go on youtube and search contouring, it will show all the places in which to apply the contour shade and the highlight. You can also look up diagrams on the internet! In my experience, I just apply my contour first and glide the stick under my cheeckbones, down the sides of my noes and along my jawline, then I highlight the center of my forehead, my chin, and cheekbones, i prefer to blend it with a foundation brush, however I am sure a sponge would work just as well x hope this helps! X
