My go-to energy gels
I've tried loads of energy gels, but I keep coming back to these blackcurrant SiS ones. The flavour is spot on - not too sweet or artificial - and they’re smooth enough to take mid-run without needing water. I’ve had other gels that are too thick or sickly sweet, but these are just right. The consistency makes them easy to swallow, even when I’m pushing hard. They give me a steady energy boost without any sudden spikes or crashes. With 22g of carbs per gel, they keep me going on longer runs and rides without upsetting my stomach. I like that they’re isotonic, so I don’t have to chug water with them. They’re also vegan and gluten-free, which is a nice bonus. The 30-pack is great value, saving me money and the hassle of restocking all the time. I always keep a few in my running belt and cycling jersey because I know they work for me. If you need a reliable, easy-to-take gel that won’t let you down, I’d definitely recommend these.

Energy gel
Very useful energy gel. I have used it for my first ever 21K half marathon, easy to fit in the running belt. Help you and recover recovery and pain relief, good size and taste.

Good purchase
Was unsure on the flavour, but obviously I bought a 30 pack of them so it can't be that bad. Really good product in general, think most people know this to be true, only thing I think people would be reading a review on here is for the specific flavour. I think it's not harsh like some can be. This will last for a good few runs, mainly aiming to use these on runs over 15km, given the recent heat wave it may be a good time to use 1-2 on a 15km+ runs. Other than that, I will keep 'borrowing' from my mums collection of gels.

Good energy booster for sports
Taste decent, used to give a boost during football matches. Easy enough to carry around, rip and drink with little packaging left afterwards. Would buy again.

Expensive
Yes these are good gels for refuelling on the go. But in this case my order took nearly two months to arrive! Not Amazon's fault I expect probably SIS delivery was at fault. Considering the price I expect better!

Highly recommended
I used these for the London marathon (twice) great for that extra boost. Don't make me feel sick like other energy gels do.

Great gels
Having used many different gels, I definitely find the Science in Sport ones easier to stomach during a long run than any of the others I have tried. The texture of these gels is noticeably thinner than some others, making digestion easier. It suggests as much on the packaging, suggesting that extra water isn't needed, which I would certainly agree with. The blackcurrant flavour probably isn't my absolute favourite, but apart from the chocolate one, I can easily stomach any of them. The ingredients are: Water, Maltodextrin (from Maize) (33%), Gelling Agents (Gellan Gum, Xanthan Gum), Acidity Regulators (Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate) Natural Flavouring, Preservatives (Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate), Sweetener (Acesulfame K), Sodium Chloride, Antioxidant (Ascorbic Acid). The nutrition per 60ml is as follows: Energy 368kj/87kcal Fat 0.0g (of which saturates 0.0g) Carbohydrate 22g (of which sugars 0.6g) Protein 0.0g Salt 0.01g The best before date for the gels with this order was 13 months away on the date of delivery. I would definitely recommend these gels to anyone.

Low sugar - more palatable
Low sugar makes this definitely more palatable, especially over longer distances. Participated in a half marathon on the weekend, with a strategy that practiced in training, had an effective and energetic run.

Weird taste but works
Tasted rather bland like imagine you blended rice and then chilled it with some blackcurrant juice It tastes like that

Great gels, great price
I have tried to home-make most things for long rides, but gels for a quick energy boost is the most difficult. These gels are great, easy to open, and generally good flavours (although the cherry ones are really awful and artificial), and don't seem to react with my tummy like other gels do.
