Feels great in your hair!
I love this product. A little on the expensive side but you get what you pay for, quality. Smells nice and lasts the whole day. Application: a dime size is enough for short to medium hair. Aveda delivers a product that sits well in your hair without feeling greasy. I wouldn’t say it’s matte but has a low shine finish.

Top quality hair product
I love this grooming clay. Excellent hold with a matt finish. Have been using it for years. Not cheap, but lasts ages so good value for money.

Good quality hair hold
I have been using Aveda products for many years and their hair paste is very good. It holds my fine hair for as long as I need and is easy to wash out. It doesn’t leave residue and you can’t see anything in or on the hair when you use it. And it’s made with good quality ingredients. Recommended.

Light but strong
What a difference it makes. It took me forever to buy as it’s quite expensive but I knew my hairdresser uses it and finally I thought I’m worth to be treated by the good product. I absolutely love it, it’s not heavy or makes my hair stick but it holds it really well. I have just about shoulder length hair, it’s fine hair but I have a lot of it. I use it nearly every day and I can see it’ll last me for long time. Highly recommend!

Great product however, quite expensive
I had been using a hair dust product for over 10-years however, was advised by a barber that this can dehydrate the scalp and accelerate hair loss. Therefore, I made the switch to clay. There are a lot of clay products on the market so, finding a good one is difficult. I have tried quite a few at this stage, trying to find one which is of good value and performs well over a whole day. Many failed, especially to the latter. This clay is good. It holds itself well throughout the work day, even with medium-length hair (but obviously has better hold the shorter the hair). I only knock off a star because I'm not sure it's great value, as a tub of this only tends to last me around 6-weeks, even with rationed applications (which leads to around >£150 per year).

Go to for a few years now
This has been my hair product of choice for a few years now. First picked it up where I get my hair cut & when they stopped carrying the product line I was able to find it here. Back then I had shorter hair and had a faux hawk. I’d blow dry and then use this to style. Held my hair up without being greasy or crunchy. Now I have grown my hair out to a medium/long length with some wave. So my routine now is to towel dry, apply sea salt spray, hand style, let air dry & then use this as a finisher to smooth things out. I’ve also tried the thickening paste, but that can leave my hair a little greasy looking. Pleasant earthy/smokey manly scent, holds well but still workable, with good consistency and matte finish, washes out easily and doesn’t really cause much buildup between washes.
