They do the trick, not 'quite' as good as original, however.
These replacements are good. They fit the product perfectly. They seem to be of a good build quality. The only reason they are not a higher star rating is because they appear to all contain less carbon in the filter than the filter that came with our Cat Mate fountain. Therefore they will be weaker at removing taste and smell, and last a shorter time. They are good value for money, though, and can be opened and refilled if you have the materials; however it's just as easy to get new ones. Update; have since re-purchased these a few times. They seem to be by far the best value - quality for the fountain that we can find; so therefore I'm upping the review to 4 stars to reflect that I'm quite satisfied with this product. The filter material is string, the carbon works and stays "popping" for a long long time after the stated replacement duration, the build quality is good, they stay clipped together quite strongly.

Happy Cat water filters
The filters were a second time purchase for cats water bowl. Not used this supply yet as they last one month . Cat loves drinking the filtered water. Good value for money for a happy cat.

They filter, they do as intended. I wish they were cheaper or you got more because of how quick I go through them. It’s worth the price because they keep the water clean and they fit perfectly into the water fountain but the quality could be better, just a mesh fabric on top of some charcoal beads
