Evans SoundOff Tom/Snare Mute 10 Inch

Great product, love it

Got 13" and 14" for practicing with my LP Aspire timbales in my condo. They really work! The "tire store" aroma was strong at first, but it faded... but it's worth the break in period to get the benefit. Now I can practice without raising a ruckus!

I have a young drummer in my house. His music space is directly over my work-from-home office. I am sure that you can see the dilemma. These mutes do exactly as described. His sound is loud enough for him to hear, but not loud enough to be a disturbance.

If you have a younger child and you have purchased a pretty decent drum set for them to start playing/practicing, the drum mutes are a must. At first your child may be taught using a round drum pad. This is somewhat similar in achieving a duller noise while playing. But here is where your investment comes in....when they have friends over! A few good smacks on the drum head without the cover by some inexperienced pre-teen wanting their rock star moment can damage the surface and send you on your way to purchase a new drum head. The mutes let your drummer learn while keeping the sound down and protecting the surface from other inexperienced folks you just want to go all bat sh$t on your new drum set.

Thin and bounce on drum

These work well for my toddler. I have tested them and they mute sound so much. You can also tell the difference between the different drums. My toddler plays the drums like a mad man. The only thing that would make this better (potentially) is if they stuck to the drum head more....but then again, that might leave residue and we don't want that. Overall, excellent product that is built well. I believe it had a slight smell but nothing that would take me or the tot out.

Well made. High quality. However, you'll need a "SO-14" for a 14" snare.

Excelente! No se podia esperar menos de EVANS. Apaga "de verdad" el sonido (Como si pegado sobre un cojín) sin matar demasiado el rebote de la baqueta. Su calidad es buena: peso, densidad y tacto del neopreno muy bien elegido. Y lo digo por poder compararlo con los de XDrums (de quienes he comprado el Kit), que son muchos menos eficaces y de peor calidad. Con lo cual si vuestro presupuesto lo permite, a por ellos, antes de cualquier otro mas baratos.

Apagadores fantásticos porque con una muy buena relación calidad precio, cumplen perfectamente su misión de insonorización.
