Great expansion. Causes loads of arguments about who gets to be Cthulhu though!

Great extension pack.

High quality product, perhaps more expensive than it should be but is great nonetheless. Gives the opportunity for expanding the rules for both King of Tokyo and King of New York. Comes complete with mutation cards (these don't come in the Power Up! Expansion). As the Kraken was removed from the 2016 edition this surely is his replacement. It's a decent set overall and will expand your games in more ways than just a new character to play with.

This is an add-on to an expansion, so you need the base games with their respective expansions King of Tokyo + King of Tokyo: Power Up and/or King of New + King of New York: Power Up Components: 1 Cthulhu Monster Mover with stand 1 Cthuluh Monster board 8 King of Tokyo Evolution cards 8 King of New York Evolution cards 15 Building tiles (Temple of Cthulu for Building side, Cultist for Unit side) 12 Madness tokens The components are of the same quality as the KoT and KoNY games, which is very good. I don't own KoT, so I can't review the gameplay for it. I will only talk about what it adds to the KoNY experience. What does it add? The building stacks in each borrough are now 3 stacks of 4 instead of 3 stacks of 3, some buildings wil grant an extra turn or an evolution card, and this are available for all monsters. The unit side are cultists, they attack the same way all units attack, the difference is that the monster who destroys it gets to keep it and use it at his later convenience, they grant 1 HP, 1 energy or an extra roll. Though they need to be careful on when they use this cultists, because Cthulhu can steal them with an evolution card. Madness tokens, this are exclusive to Cthulhu and can only be used through his evolution cards. The number of Madness tokens a monster has, is the number of dice that a monster can't reroll in their turn. Those dice are only rolled once and can't be rerolled. Monseters can remove madness tokens by using Hearts from dice. If you like the evolution cards from the base expansion, you will like this ones. Overall, it's a good expansion to have. If you are between this and King Kong Monster Pack and can only choose one, I would go for this one. The addition that it provides for all players (the building tiles) is more usefull than the Empire State building that comes with the King Kong expansion, you will get more out of the building tiles and provides a better experience for all players. The Madness tokens, like the Beauty Card that comes with the King Kong expansion, are one sided towards who is controling the monster from their respective expansion, but that's how the evolution cards work, they give advantages to each monster. Cthulhu is fun to play, I believe it's a must have for lovers of this game.

espansione per il gioco. molto carino in se, consiglio la scatola da gioco per bimbi e adulti da fare insieme sono veramente 4 regole in croce. mia nipote lo adora.
