Deep breath & go for it!
I am a repeat purchaser and will buy again. This removes lenses effortlessly and hygienically. I wear Gas Permeable and Soft lenses and this is perfect for the former but seems not to work on the latter - at least for me. It needs a deep breath the first time used because as one reviewer said- you do have to get right up to the lens which is on the eye and this is a little disconcerting- I love it & it's reasonably priced for the peace of mind it provides. Don't give up is my advice- I've worn lenses for over 20 years & sometimes pulling my eyes about to blink them out is more traumatic than this little piece of genius!

Waste of money
These are far too small and do not do the job. Although they have a slight amount of suction it's not nearly enough to pull out the contact lens. I honestly regret purchasing these and would recommend you do not invest in these either.

Definitely helpful
I find it very hard to put contact lenses in, I just don’t think I’ve had enough practice, but these help a lot. They’re very easy to put in, however a little bit harder to take out

Perfect!
Was a bit dubious reading the bad reviews but decided to buy these anyway. They were perfect for removing my hard lenses. The suction power is so-so you really need to squeeze the handle for it to stick but it made removing my lenses so much more easier in the morning. Recommend for hard lens users!

Did not work.
It did not work for me. I wish I had taken the advice of all the reviews that said the same. It would not lift the lens at all but I felt my actual eye move and when I felt this, did not like it. I do not have a problem putting lenses in, just taking them out, as they are quite dry. I tried it twice but the same thing happened with my eye moving. Will not try it again as I was scared by sensation of eye moving!!! Would not recommend this to anyone.

Doesn't suction - AVOID
I have been wearing gas permeable contact lenses for 14 years. This is the first time I had issues taking them off. I lost my usual remover and because I never take my contacts out with out it I purchased one with Prime delivery. This thing has zero suction, it does not stick at all. I've tried wetting my eye to see if it would work better and it didn't. It is definitely overpriced (as a remover is mostly a pound) and then doesn't even work. I am beyond frustrated by it as I've never seen such a bad remover in the 14 years I've been wearing contacts. This is a disgrace.

Perfect
This does work very well if you follow a couple of simple guidelines and a bit of practice. 1. Dip the sucker into your cleaning solution first to wet it, just as you would with any rubber sucker when sticking it to a shiny surface.. 2. Apply it as close to an edge of the lens as you can, it doesn't work if you are too central as the lens has more suction to your eye than this does to the lens.(You wouldn't want to pull your eye out lol). Going to the edge breaks the seal quite easily and lifts the edge of the lens away from your eye. 3. If it still won't come easily then gently manipulate the lens on your eye with your finger first just to help break the seal. I'm new to contact lens and it can still take a couple of goes to get each lens out but without this tool I would definitely have given up with my lens trial as I really struggle getting the lenses out with my fat fingers and I was just ending up with sore red eyes that stung all the time. Once you can position it right, the lens comes out really easily without touching my eyeball at all.

For removal, change your thinking!
For inserting contacts: think of it as a suction cup. It works! For removing contacts: especially if you have dalies or soft contacts; think of this tool as more of a spatula! Use the edge of the suction cup as your way of breaking the seal of the contact. I find it works best from the bottom up. (Literally look up!) Then carefully slip the edge of the suction cup under the edge of the contact. Takes some practice, and I suggest practicing the placement in front of a beauty mirror with magnification, but it works every time! And with 0 suction! I find the cup very flexible and thin and soft to the touch in my hand and on my eyeball. I dip the cup in solution, then place the contact on the cup and insert it in my eye. Easy peasy. Taking it out: dip the cup in solution and again, slip the edge of the cup under the edge of the contact and push it gently over your eye towards the opposite edge of the contact and it will break the seal and come right out!

Indispensable

Garbage ...
This is the worst applicator for inserting my contact lens I've ever used. First off, it's so small in my hands that I often drop it. Secondly the suction on the lens is not that great, and lastly my lens spins more time getting stuck in my eyelashes then getting properly placed in my eye. Do not buy these crappy items. I'm throwing mine in the garbage.
