A great drive for the money
I'm very impressed with this drive. I wanted to replace an old 250GB HDD used as a boot drive in a server. Drives these days tend to be several TB which would be wasted for what I needed, as I always install the OS on its own drive with nothing else. I found this at close to a tenner which, whilst expensive per GB in comparison to modern drives, was the sort of money I wanted to pay and was still very reasonable. And importantly, wasn't a huge waste. I was sceptical that this would be a new drive as advertised. On opening it I was pleasantly surprised to find a well packaged, factory sealed Seagate drive which is most definitely new and as described. And having installed it and re-installed the OS, is working a treat. Server fixed for a tenner! I can see me requiring more of these in the future so I will be ordering more to keep in my stockpile. It was great to be able to fix something for minimal cost.

Great value for money. Using as a spare external drive
As I bought the wrong enclosure by mistake which was meant to be for an old hard drive taken out of my redundant tower which I sworn was a sata drive turned out to be ide. I was stuck with an enclosure for the SATA version. So rather than take the trouble to return the enclosure I decided to keep it whilst ordering an ide one for the old drive. I just happened to come across this great little hard drive which i thought was perfect to fit into it. At just over 10 quid you cant go wrong. As a 320gb drive it probably would not be adequate as a main drive on PC but in an inclosure as a spare external hard drive at a bargain price you cant go wrong.

Cheap, it works. Job done!
Cheap and works fine. I used this as a primary drive in a budget reconditioned pc build for the kids to do their homework on and for internet browsing. I did not need fast access or write speeds but was after an affordable drive to hold the OS etc. I fully formatted the drive before installing the OS and it has not caused me any issues.I can not complain at all for the price.

The capacity tells you how old these drives are.
Firstly, you can't fault the price and if you're prepared for a low performance HDD then you can't go wrong. These drives are old. The clue is in the capacity 320gb is not a common capacity any longer. A quick check online revealed the one I got was a Western Digital Green released 2011. It also had the slower SATA 300 connection.. A clean install of Windows 10 took 37-38 minutes from "Press any key to boot from dvd" to "Welcome" screen. The drive is quite thick which leads me to believe it's a double platter.Conclusion. Not for modern PCs especially gaming. If you don't mind really slow read/write times not a bad backup.
