Flir One - Thermal Imaging Camera for iOS Smartphones (iPhone 14 and Older w/Lightning Port), 240x180 Super Resolution (80x60 Native IR)

Very little to dislike about this. My plumber came round to fix 4 new rads on an existing circuit in our kitchen and brought his thermal imaging camera (a £500 piece of kit!)... he didn't find / see anything additional (on this occasion) to this little iPhone attachment!! Really is brilliant and really accurate too. Can take a little while to calibrate, but for the savings you'll make over the hugely more expensive pieces of kit out there, this is a bargain and I'm so pleased I've got mine.. it's surprising how much I've used it to find heat leaks in windows / rooves etc.

I have watched all of the reviews on Youtube etc and I am certain this would really help me to check for draughts, faulty insulation, overheating appliances, find a pet hamster hiding in the sofa and a long list of other uses. Unfortunately when I tried to download the Flir One App on my Iphone 7 it said I needed IOS16 and my phone is just a few months too old. As I live in the back of beyond with unreliable 4G signal I cannot justify updating my phone until it packs up. I have given 5 Stars because I am absolutely certain this is great value for money at £144. The reluctant return was swiftly authorised and our lovely Post Lady should collect it tomorrow.

These are very good, My only complain is the calibration is way too often, Like every couple of seconds which stops what you’re looking at for a second and its something I can and have lived with but I wish it was not happening all the time. I cannot get the image to line up with the phone camera for circuit board repairs but everything else is fine. Battery is a little short and sadly doesn’t charge from the phone which would be a good option to have

Unit is nice and compact and once the Fair App is downloaded, very easy to use. I like the fact that it overlays the thermal image with a visible outline (MSX as referred to by FLIR) giving easier to identify images. Battery last approx 30 minutes and charges very quickly. Currently using the camera to identify cold spots and blockages to the central heating system of which it is perfectly sufficient. I had previously borrowed a Flir camera from work that costs well over 5x the price of this, admittedly the thermal detail isn't as accurate but for my purpose this is a perfectly sufficient camera and a great tool to add to any homeowners tool box.

First, what I ordered was the Edge Pro, not the Flir One - sort yourselves out Amazon! My years old Flir one came with a protective case, this Edge Pro has no case to protect my huge investment in this camera. When used with an iPhone 6s the display is laggy, I can't get a smooth pan while looking for hotspots. It is much more usable than the Flir One, getting into tight spots easily while still being able to view the display. That is a great benefit - the only reason I bought this model.

I'm not sure if this is just and iOS issue, but the menu buttons on the app would not respond unless clicked several times. It got frustrating after a while so I send it back. I might try the Android version when I have an Android phone. Maybe it will work better. Also, the display image resolution (this is the lower resolution model that I bought) isn't all that great. It's useful if you can get close to an object, but if you want to see some detail, let's say on outside of your property, a floor above you, and you don't have a ladder to go up, the usefulness of this device is drastically reduced. Sure, I knew the resolution of this model that I was buying, but I was hoping it wouldn't be such a mediocre experience. Shame that the previous version of the model of this camera had the higher resolution image in the base model, and now this new model has the lower resolution and if you want the higher resolution one, you can have it if you pay double for the next model up.

We bought this as we’ve been having issues with cold air from our patio doors and this helped us to show how cold it was! Also really helpful to see where we need to add loft insulation too!

I really like how compact this product is. It was easy to set up using the app and my iPhone. For the price, the image could be a bit clearer but you can definitely see heat disperse in areas to look out for especially for heating pipes as you can see from my house although I already had an incline where these were. I would recommend this product.

Die FLIR One ist ein beeindruckendes Gerät für iPhone-Nutzer, die an Wärmebildaufnahmen interessiert sind. Sie überzeugt durch einfache Bedienung und exzellente Bildqualität. Ich nutze sie mit einem iPhone 13 Mini vorrangig um damit feuchte Stellen am Haus zu finden. Diese sind nämlich kälter als umliegendes Mauerwerk und somit deutlich blau gefärbt in der Standartansicht. Als Foto und Video habe ich je eine unbearbeitete Aufnahme von unserem Küchenboden eingefügt wodurch man super den Verlauf der Fußbodenheizung sieht. Ein überraschendes Extra ist das mitgelieferte, robuste Case, das nicht in der Produktbeschreibung stand. Dieses Case bietet ausgezeichneten Schutz. Bei der Lieferung bemerkte ich kleine schwarze Fusseln in der Verpackung. Zunächst dachte ich, es könnte sich um ein bereits benutztes Produkt handeln, aber das Gerät war in perfektem Zustand. Die FLIR One funktioniert toll mit verschiedenen Apps, die im App Store erhältlich sind oder direkt über die FLIR One App verlinkt werden. Die Kfz-Inspektions-App mit Tutorials ist besonders hilfreich, und mit der Desktop-Version gibt es noch mehr Möglichkeiten. Ein wichtiger Tipp für Nutzer, die ihr iPhone mit MagSafe laden: Die Ladebuchse kann durch Staub und Schmutz aus der Hosentasche verstopfen, ohne dass man es merkt. Kleine Silikonverdeckungen für den Lightning-Connector können helfen, die Verbindung zur Kamera sauber und stabil zu halten. Anders als Nachtsichtgeräte, die eine begrenzte Reichweite haben, nimmt die FLIR One Wärme ähnlich wie das menschliche Auge sichtbares Licht wahr. Ihre Reichweite ist daher vergleichbar mit dem, was wir mit unseren Augen sehen können. Die Anleitung könnte noch verbessert werden, aber insgesamt ist die FLIR One eine fantastische Wahl für jeden, der eine zuverlässige Wärmebildkamera für sein iPhone sucht. Die Version für Android kann ich nicht beurteilen.

Excellent product with only two small drawbacks. If you have an older phone (mine is a 1st gen iPhone SE) then you won't have full functionality, although what you do have is pretty good. Also, the available desktop app only works on a PC. Unbelievably they have not designed a desktop app for Mac which is very disappointing. Flir made this product for an iPhone yet there is no support for further use beyond the phone itself. Hope they get it together on this one.

Finalement je ne vais pas renvoyer ce produit car la batterie n’étant pas chargée, j’ai cru qu’il ne fonctionnait pas. Ce produit fonctionne donc très bien et est très utile pour vérifier les fuites thermiques…
