Strong quality galvanised wire (worked to hold out the squirrels!)
I bought the Galvanised Coated Garden Wire to attach to mesh wire that I wanted to place over an air vent pipe at the top of our building. We had an issue with squirrels getting inside through the pipe, so I needed a reliable solution. This wire is very strong and worked perfectly alongside the mesh wire I purchased to accompany it. It held everything securely in place, and I feel much more confident that the squirrels won’t be able to get in anymore. If you need a strong wire, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this one.

Just The Right Thickness
I use this wire with vine eyes to create an almost invisible trellis for plants to climb up. I use two pairs of pliers – one to keep the line taut while I use the other to twist the end of the wire tightly, to secure it.It's just the right thickness to last for many, many years even when supporting heavy plants.After a couple of years it starts to dull a bit, but that just makes it blend in more with the wall or fence behind it. The only downside is that you have to be more careful if you happen to be using a hedge trimmer near it.

Found the 1.6mm wire idea for mending wire mesh fencing. Found it easy to work by hand and cut with standard pliers, which was great.The wire as delivered is quite shiny but seems to dull/tarnish (but *not* rust, it just goes a dull grey colour) after a few days exposure to the Scottish weather. That's ideal as it blends in with there original fencing wire.
