ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!! My before and after photos prove it. I went out in April to my new build cracked, weedy garden and cut the 'grass' to the lowest my lawnmower went. I dug out a few weeds but gave up as there was too many. To spread the seed I used a colander from the kitchen. I over seeded it twice and watered it every evening for a week. We then had the heatwave so I thought I'd wasted my money as the ground was so cracked. I over seeded again and just did the first cut in June. My pictures show how luscious, green and thick my grass is! Not bad for 6 weeks growth!

Having a little difficulty getting it to take and sprout but dry ground conditions don’t help..

Picture this. You move into a new build. You refuse to pay crazy prices for turf. You think you can sort your garden out yourself. You’ve just had a baby. Turns out you can’t sort the garden out yourself and you grow a haven of weeds! You manage to clear the weeds (mostly) but how will you grow grass faster enough to outcompete the weeds? You buy this product. You scatter it, water it for like 5 days then start to see shoots. 2 weeks latter you’ve got a decent amount of grass. 4 more week later you have lawn with very few weeds. Texture is great- soft and springy. The grass deals well with a toddler and a dog. So easy, so worth it.

This seed did not germinate at all even birds didn’t bother eating it because it’s still on the surface of lawn.

Bag came looking nothing like the photo, used the grass seeds.... all of them and gave sun and water regularly...absolutely nothing growing nothing but dead seeds they sent us in a clear bag. Would not recommend, do not buy this, nothing will grow absolute waste of money, now have to spend more money on actual grass seed.

I did patch repairs on about 30 sections of my lawn this May and a fairly big area in the picture which was bare due to the trampoline. For over 10 years, I have been doing regular reseeding and used more than half a dozen different varieties. This is by far the best and easiest to put down. I simply removed about an inch of compacted top soil, mixed the grass seed with Westlands Gro-Sure Lawn seeding soil and pushed it in; watered it most days, and the new grass has come up in about 7-10 days. I have probably put too much seed in tbh as it's v thick in places but I have been scarred by years of so-called high quality grass seed not working. What's impressed me the most, is it's taken in parts of the garden alongside tree roots and semi shaded area that I had given up on. It's a lovely rich, dark green colour which will fade gradually and blend in. Caveat: 1. The only final test is to use it in Autumn and see if survives a wet, cold winter when a lot of grass seed takes and I find gets kind of washed away. 2. I have not tested it in complete shaded areas underneath the trees which I plan to do (but I am not sure it's designed for that)

I had made 3 attempts to overseed 6 bare patches in my lawn using 3 different products, all promising rapid growth and a lush lawn. In each case after 3 weeks not a sign of any growth at all. I bought this product as a last resort and was a bit apprehensive as it just came in just an unmarked bag. Imagine my surprise when the first seeds begin to germinate and show after 6 days.
