I love this torch. It’s works in every direction. It’s simple to use. I use it for sweat copper fittings.

Has been working very well since purchase! Accurate placement of flame. Has never flared-out unless I had it too close to the parts being worked. Comfy to hold.

I’ve used different propane torches that are made for disposable cylinders and find this one to be best. The torches that have a separate torch head connected by a hose work best, because they are not cumbersome or flare up when tilted. However, all others have a brush flame. This torch has a controllable pencil flame that, while not producing as much heat as the brush tips, is useful for finer work. Also very safe, stable and economical.I tested the Makers Torch on both silver and gold repair work and it performed well.Highly recommended for students, beginning professionals and as a professional back up torch

Well made, seems like good, strong construction. Very tight flame, easy to adjust and easy 1 handed use.

I use this regularly for silver soldering small parts. Works great.

Seems like a great tool.Here are my pros and cons.PROS:- very nice flame tip- great ergonomics. It just fits in my hand. Very functional- easy to operate and fast to set up- hole for the tool in the base is made in a way that stops tool from rotating freely. I like this- heat output is based on the gas you feed it and by adjusting the knob- It can also operate with EU Propane butane bottles (you have to have gas US to EU adapter)CONS:- There is no handle that would allow me to grab "the whole set-up" with one hand and move it. I think it's kind of obvious from the pictures, but I did not realize until the first time I had to move it. It is small and light weighted, but you need two hands to move it.- After a long operation, I do not feel comfortable to just slide it into the hole in the base. Even if it's reinforced with metal, it would surely melt after some time.Overall I think this is great value for money.To fix most cons, I designed and 3D printed holder which make this tool 5/5, but since I had to put in my work best I can give is 4/5.Holder can be found on printables. We do a lot of soldering in our business and we’re using these standard propane tank torch head. Soldering on smaller things was a pain.I ran across these with the hose, adjustable flame and thought I’d give them a go.So far my guys like them and being able to adjust the flame for more precise work has helped out a lot!As far as durability I cannot comment on that as we have only been using them for about a month. They do not get transported and will sit at each work station so I’m hopeful with such comfortable settings they will last a long time.

Has been great for silver smithing. Easy to use, virtually no set up. The hose length is adequate.
