I would call it the Happy Lamp :)
Quick Verdict A compact and effective daylight lamp that genuinely helps lift mood during dark winter months. Easy to use and convenient to keep on a desk, it makes a noticeable difference, especially in the mornings when daylight is lacking. More in Detail This SAD lamp has been particularly helpful during winter, especially for someone used to living in sunnier climates where natural daylight is more abundant. Using it in the morning helps counter that heavy, low-energy feeling that often comes with darker days, and over time it’s had a positive impact on overall mood. The lamp is simple to operate with a single button and fits neatly on a desk without taking up much space. It feels well-made, produces a bright but comfortable light, and doesn’t cause any glare or discomfort. The fact that it’s UV-free and energy-efficient makes it easy to use daily without any concerns, and the travel pouch is a nice bonus for portability.

Perfectly bright, functional and portable
Update 09/02/22: After a couple of months use I can honestly say this thing is brilliant (no pun intended!) I've got used to the brightness of the light and & now have it in front of me on my desk all day until 4 or 5 pm. It helps keep me focused & alert, and my insomnia's clearly improved. Despite some very difficult circumstances, I feel its also helping to keep depression at bay. Original review: This was a great purchase - I had a very expensive SAD lamp about 12 years ago that was 3 or 4 times the size of this and very bulky. That one got broken last time we moved, so because my mood's been low recently and my sleep cycle's really messed up, I decided it was time to invest in a new one. I bought this particular model because it was the cheapest SAD lamp I could find from a reputable manufacturer. I was sceptical that such a tiny lamp could be any good, but I'm happy to have been proved wrong. Yes, it's tiny size means you either need to have it very close to your face or use it for longer than my old lamp to get the full effect, but because it's so dinky, it's easy to whip out and switch on anywhere there's a plug socket. The lead on the plug is over 5 ft long (about 155 cm) which has been plenty for my needs, but an extension lead could always be used if required. Since my lamp arrived 3 days ago I've placed it on the table in front of me each morning whilst eating breakfast - it's easily propped up using the little stand provided. However the best thing for me was realising I can pop it in the tablet slot on my desk whilst I'm working (see photos). Initially this obscured my laptop screen, but the box the lamp came in was just the right size to raise my laptop to the right height! The lamp does feel very bright so close to my face, and I believe working like this for too long would probably cause a headache, but it's easy to switch the lamp on and off, so I'm using it in short bursts throughout the day, which (for me at least) seems the best way to use it. Beurer's official blurb states the light therapy takes about 7 days to take effect. I've not had it that long,so I can't vouch for this lamp's longer-term effects, but over two days of regular use, I feel it's made me a little more positive and alert by day, and best of all, I fell asleep by 11:30 pm last night and stayed asleep until morning which is virtually unheard of! Having said that, I've also just switched from CBD to Valerian as a calmer/sleep aid, so how much of this can be attributed to the lamp I don't know. There seems to be plenty of scientific evidence online to back the manufacturers claims for this lamp. My gut feeling is that the lamp will have a substantial role to play in resolving seasonal low mood and sleep issues, but only as part of a wider strategy that includes eating healthily, physical exercise, practicing some kind of mindfulness, sleep hygeine, and supplementing with relevant vitamins & minerals (most Brits need D3 during winter months, plus many are deficient in B12, B6, magnesium, iodine & omega 3 fatty acids). As I was already working on other lifestyle factors, I'm hoping this lamp will be the final piece of the puzzle. I'll try and remember to add an update in a few week's time to comment on any longer-term effects, but, so far, so good :) Conclusion: this tiny & low-priced lamp seems well made, is just as effective as my previous much larger model, and is incredibly easy to use, store or carry around.

An excellent starter lamp that has made some difference to my day
After years of suffering sudden low moods at roughly the same time each year I decided to see whether a sad lamp could provide any relief. I invested in the cheapest lamp from the range due to its size and portability for when I go away plus I wanted to ensure it had a distinct benefit before I invested in a more advanced model. The light is well packed, comes with a useful stand that adjusts easily for portrait or landscape positions and has a carry case for travelling. One thing to note is that the travel bag does not fit the plug, it is more for protection of the light rather than keep everything together. The lamp is well made and durable. It has a stylish all white look that feels clinical, neat with an almost medicinal look which suits its function. The light itself is bright white and quite shockingly bright when you first use it. However, this initial shock wears off as you get used to it and realise the room actually looks like a summer day. It advices to direct it 10-30cm from your face and look directly into the light for a few minutes at a time. This takes a little getting used to as it is so bright but oddly not bright in a headache, eye strain way and you do not get any blur in front of your eyes when you stop looking at it. I have been using the lamp for a few weeks and whether it works is still to be determined but I will say this. It is now a part of my morning routine that I value and I would miss it if I didn’t have it. I will be taking it away with me when I go on holiday in a few weeks. The biggest test for me will be next year when I intend to use it before the dreaded low mood, sad Winter feeling descends in order to see whether I can avoid the feelings by a daily light dose. I’ve programmed my calendar to start using it in September so only time will tell but until then I’m extremely happy with my purchase. So why only 4 stars? The on/off button is made of silicone and slightly awkward to use without using a finger nail to push down. This concerns me regarding its durability if, over time, the silicone wears away or splits but again, only time will tell.

Lampe kam schnell. Ausprobieren ging nicht, da der Stecker nicht in deutsche Steckdosen passt. Ist ein US Stecker dabei. Die selbe Lampe dann im Media Markt für weniger Geld und richtigem Stecker geholt.

Light is bright. Problem is the flickering. It develops after 3-4 weeks. It is really annoying. It stops after about 10 minutes like it heats up.

I bought this product and it was fantastic for the first few days however after a very short period of time it started to flicker, I logged an issue however no one got back to me and the product has never worked properly since. It is constantly flickering and as a result I can’t leave it on.

Es liegt ausschließlich der amerikanische / englische Netzstecker bei, somit in Deutschland unbrauchbar. Ich habe es leider zurückschicken müssen.
