The speedball is amazing for swatching inks and laying down a lot of ink on paper for painting. The different size nibs provide variety as well. I’d definitely recommend it.

Unsure if this item is mislabelled. Only one of the nibs fits the small holder and it's so tiny it doesn't actually hold any ink (I even tried it with a thinner ink that permanent Indian, but no amount of dipping made it work). Yet the label states that of the six nibs, three are for the smaller holder. The larger holder and nibs are good though, no complaints there, but it loses a star for the above.

As a beginner I was unsure of what open to get to start with. This set is perfect as it comes with a selection of nib sizes and 2 handles. I have really enjoyed using them with my kuretake 60 ink and have been liking the results. Very easy to get used to but I can see time will only make it better.

Really excited to get this set but after trying them out only one of the nibs is of any use to me. The varying sizes of round nibs just won't hold any ink. I may be using them wrong, but I can't find any video demonstrations. The nib I do use is amazing though.

The nibs are a little scratchy on some papers but I expect it to get better after a bit of use. The pen holder is a little light for my taste but seems very sturdy. The lines from these nibs are beautiful and the ink reservoir on the nibs are excellent! I'm enjoying this for my crummy drawings and will definitely get more Speedball nibs.

I have got more sets of nibs and holders from speedball and they are in general very good, but only the small and fine sizes. The large ones don't leave a mark as clear and big as their surface. Though, to be honest I haven't found other brand that do that :) The small ones - like 100. 102, 215, 99, b6, a5, c6 and c5 and probably others with similar sizes work just perfect. the bigger ones, like a2 or bigger, b2 or bigger, c3 or bigger - am not impressed at all, they just don't do it ! The lines are dodgy and the surface of the nib does not leave a complete mark on the paper. Luckily, I don't really need to use these too much !

These are probably the best pen around for drawing traditional tattoo art. However, they can be a bit of a learning curse. So don’t expect to be a pro straight away.

I’m so pleased with these nibs! Very new to this medium (usually just use technical drawing pens), but as you can see, they function great right out of the package. All the materials in the package were intact, no damaged items. I have to say though, if I could knock half a star off, it would be for the packaging itself. One of the nibs went eight under a fingernail when I was trying to get them out. My hands have issues so it would be nice to see them find a better way to do that. Like maybe put all the nibs in a little plastic tube. Much safer!

Las mejores que he comprado. Aunque me hubiera gustado que trajeran algunas mas pequeñas, están geniales. Supongo que después compraré otra versión con más opciones.

Wie schon im Titel beschrieben: Er macht was er soll. Ich benutze ihn um Außenlinien bei meinen Zeichnungen zu erstellen. Die C Nibs lassen hier keine großartigen Spielereien mit der Strichbreite zu, was aber ok für meinen Einsatzzweck genau richtig ist. Die Nibs sitzen außerdem Fest im Halter und lassen sich gut wieder entfernen. Kann ihn weiterempfehlen!
