Essential kit and worth their weight in gold.
These saved my breast feeding journey. At first I was hesitant at the price but I would pay triple now knowing how amazing they are. After expressing a small amount of breast milk into each cup and wearing them my nipples began to heal and within 6 hours I was honestly almost pain free. After 2 days, my nipples were almost fully healed. I was so determined to breast feed but I had no idea how much it would hurt. We are 3 months in now and I can honestly say that we wouldn't have managed without these cups. If I get a little tender now I pop them on again and within an hour or so I am pain free again. My son has a very shallow latch which unfortunately hasn't improved much so I still get a bit of nipple trauma every now and then.

Just wow
I've been using these for a few days now so I feel ready enough to write an efficient review. First things first, I did not know how to feel about these because my poor nipples had been through the absolute works and I bought this purely based on reviews and boy am I glad I did. From having mastitis, engorged, red hot boobs to sitting down crying in fear of when I had to breastfeed. From having tried everything, massages, expressing, nipple creams, oils to try and aid my chronically sore and cracked nipples, these cups have been my saviour. I refuse to ever not have them on. I've never experienced pain like that before having a child and I was willing to do anything except stop breastfeeding. Not only have they helped slowly heal my nipples (it will take some time as he had latched on very poorly so they were extremely sore from the beginning) but they also help my milk supply. So easy to use its ridiculous how well they work, I'm never taking them off! The only bad thing id say is it's inconvenient if you don't wear a bra (really dislike bras) and you still leak with them on. Also hard to hide under clothes, other than that I don't have a bad word, I dread losing these so I look after them sacredly. If you have nipple problems don't bother with anything else, these are genius little inventions so worth the £40! Thank you Jesus

If you're not sure, buy them!!! They saved my nipples
We're 4 months into breastfeeding and these have saved my nipples so many times. It took us a good 2 - 3 months to get the hang of BF and have a consistent, comfortable latch, especially during night feeds. I was waking up in agony and spending the next few days with sore nipples as they healed after a bad night unable to latch well. I really wish I didn't hesitate to buy these, honestly. Hand express some milk and put them over your nipples and it's like instant pain relief! Not only that but once you take them off they don't hurt anymore and you're pain free pretty much forever unless you have a poor latch again. This has been the case wether I've worn them for a quick 15 minutes or for a few hours. I wouldn't be without them. I haven't had to use nipple cream, hold or cold compresses or soothing gel pads for weeks now! 🙌🏻 My best ever breastfeeding purchase I'm assuming for mums who's nipples are badly damaged and bleeding it may not be a one use fix as the tissue needs to heal, but you may as well spend that healing time with soothing cups on between feeds so it hurts less every time :)

An absolute Godsend
My baby was born with a tooth and had a tongue tie so breastfeeding was aging with bitten sore and at one time torn nipples. I got through a lot of lansinoh cream which helped a bit but nothing really calmed rush the soreness until these - wow who knew - I was also sceptical but even within a few hours the cooling and healing effect of the cups had worked and wearing they also prevents further rubbing. They are dear but worth every penny in my opinion. Only tiny gripe is they arrive with instructions in Italian - the only thing you need to know (having translated them) is you ONLY clean with a paste made from sodium bicarbonate and water which you do before first use and then intermittently (I clean mine once per day in this way) and absolutely no detergents. My Lactation consultant advised that another client had suffered a reaction - I suspect from not cleaning it correctly. They are designed and again this is in instructions to hold a drop of breast milk in them which also aids your recovery. So happy I invested in these. Will probably save a fortune on nipple cream - haven't needed any since starting on these....

A good option for moist wound healing
If you’ve got sore, minimally cracked nipples, these are a good soothing option. You will still need to use a breast pad with these though, as when you let down, the milk escapes and will go everywhere. If you have severely cracked nipples or have nipple thrush or mastitis, this won’t be the best option for healing, as you may have to go down a different route with your nip healing process.

Excellent product
Well worth the money! Wish I had them since from the start. They allowed me to continue feeding when I was ready to give up due to the pain. Healed any wounds within the first couple of days of use and I've had no wounds since using this product as it is constantly healing any damage caused. I have told every midwife, health visitor and breastfeeding peer supporter I have met how great this product is and to spread the word to other mothers. I have even bought another pair for a friend as a baby shower present.

painful letdown, thrush
The silver cups are a life saver. I had a cluster of different problems with breastfeeding and had all the help possible from Lactation Consultants, midwifes and maternity support workers about nipple soreness, painful letdown, thrush, mastitis and the baby's tongue tie...all of which we had at some point. At 4 weeks I was completely desperate and crying, swearing and toe curling during every feed and was unable to continue feeding without nipple shields as it was so painful and sore. I thought these as a last attempt and to be honest I wish I had had them from the start! I was totally sceptical, but shouldn't have been and now tell everyone about them. They healed cracks, mini blisters and soreness within a couple of days and I was able to stop using nipple shields really soon afterwards. These cups were the one thing that stopped the vicious cycle and helped one area improve (soreness and nipple pain) which then meant that the other issues improved. I can't recommend these highly enough. Worth every penny. In fact, I bought them twice as I lost one of the cups from the first pair!

My nipples are SO grateful!!!
With my first child, I stopped breastfeeding at 12 weeks because the little monster absolutely shredded my poor nipples. No amount of lanolin worked! Once they were cracked and bleeding, there was no saving them or my breastfeeding journey. This time around, I was determined to try breastfeeding again. I re-read all of the information and stocked up on more lanolin...only to start experiencing the worst pain just 2 weeks in. It only took a quick Google search to find these little beauties...but I was sceptical! I asked my midwife if she knew of anything that could relieve the pain and she warily, but excitedly, told me about these silver cups. Excited because studies it had been proven that they work. Wary because they cannot recommend them to parents as the cost is not achievable for everyone. Damn! The cost wasn't achievable for me!! But I thought I'd treat myself and my boobs and boy, are we so happy we did! I ordered these in the morning and received them the same day in the evening. Whacked them into my bra straight away and no word of a lie, by the time my little milkaholic was ready for her feed the next morning - the pain was gone! No tenderness, stinging, sharp pains. Nothing! If you are having any kind of discomfort or pain whilst breastfeeding, even though you have tried every method possible, I seriously recommend investing in this product! I have no idea what the science is behind it but it really does work. I cannot praise it enough!

These cups saved my nipples and nursing relationship. AMAZING.
I got these about four weeks post-partum on the recommendation of my awesome IBCLC (International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant). She said they're big in Europe, and other Lactation Consultants she knew had been raving about them. They are pricy, but I was desperate -- my nipples were badly damaged from early latch issues, including several layers of tissue damage on one side (and missing tissue), bleeding wounds on both sides, plus persistent redness and soreness. Nursing and latching was going better, but my nipples just would not heal fast enough for me to not be in agony every time. I tried everything - Medihoney, Dr. Jack Newman's APNO by prescription, Earth Mama Angel Baby nipple butter, coconut oil, olive oil, exposing them to air, keeping them moist, saline rinses/soaks, sunlight, nipple shield (which promptly filled with blood when I tried using it). Nothing worked and I was almost ready to quit despite all the hard work we had done and the improvement in latching technique. So. Desperate, I got these babies. And within hours my nipples had gone from bright red and painful looking to light pink and almost normal looking. Hours. I couldn't believe my eyes. I showed my husband and he agreed they looked like new nipples. The pain relief was also immediate though I was still not pain-free. But after a few days of wearing them, my nipples had made huge progress in healing. I never took them off after that, wore them 24/7 (and still do at 10 weeks postpartum), and my nipples healed almost completely. (I say almost because the one with the many layers of tissue damage had some permanent trauma damage that left me with vasospasms about half the time, so it still sometimes hurts...but nothing like before, obviously.) These Silverettes saved my nursing relationship. Ever since, I have recommended them to every nursing mom I know who is struggling in the early days. And with future babies, I will start wearing them 24/7 maybe even before the birth. Some details: For care, I wash them twice a day with baking soda paste. I wear them with a bamboo breast pad over them to catch leaks (and make the Madonna-nipple look less prominent). They do fill up a bit on the non-nursing side if you have a big letdown, so watch out for that (or purchase a Milkie milk saver). The rims do cut a little bit into your areola if they are not positioned just right or if the rim is on a Montgomery Gland (little bump on the areola). When this happens I just adjust them to be more comfortable. My nipples seem a bit dry sometimes wearing them, and maybe a bit greyish like the silver is changing their color. But I don't care about any of the inconveniences. These things save my life. You'll have to pry them from my cold, dead hands if you want me to stop wearing them!!!! They basically saved my nursing relationship with my baby. That said, does anyone else who has worn them have tips on when you can stop wearing them, if ever? I've taken them off a couple of nights here and there when stomach sleeping, but otherwise I'm nervous to do so.

Game changer!!!!
Silverettes saved my breastfeeding journey! My boobs/nips were ruineddd when breastfeeding my first baby & it made me give it up after a few weeks due to such extreme pain. Fast forward to my 2nd baby, and I used silverettes & breastfed her for a year. It honestly meant there was no nipple pain at all!!! I don’t know what kind of magic it is haha but it honestly healed the nips so perfectly between every feed. Genuine game changer! They’re expensive, but so worth it!!! Buy them!
