feela Gel Highlighters, No Bleed Bible Highlighters, 8 Pastel Colours

These Bible highlighter pens are brilliant. The colours are pastel but quite bright, and they do not obscure the text, even the red-letter spoken words of Jesus in the Gospels. There are enough colours in this pack of eight markers for my purposes - I am creating a Prayer Bible with highlighted text and different page tabs for each subject. I bought the compact NKJV Bible from Amazon, measuring 7 x 5 inches, and it is perfect for this project, and the markers partner with it very well. The pack is the same width as the Bible and a little shorter, and both fit into the case that I have. The pages of the Bible are super-thin and there is no bleed-through with these markers, which are more like wax crayons than regular highlighter pens. You twist them up as they get used. I cannot comment on longevity because I've only just got them but I think they should last a good long time. They feel slightly tacky when you first apply them to the page and they take a minute of two to dry, but after that you cannot feel them at all and there is no messy residue. Highly recommended.

These have great colours and a nice case. They are pretty good for a Bible. There is a little shadow of the colour through the other page, but I’ve never found any highlighters that didn’t do the same. The Good thing is that you can mix the colours without fear of tearing the paper, which happened with my wet highlighters.

They’re weird to use at first. You have to shape them while using it if that makes sense. But they’re really good after . They’re like a gel type I can’t describe, almost like a crayon, but they’re brilliant. Don’t bleed through bible pages . Doesn’t smudge.

I bought these for highlighting in a bible, as I’ve set myself the task of finally reading the whole thing right through, however, these would work fine (potentially even better) for normal textbooks or standard print books in general. These are the thickness of a child’s chunky pencil. They twist up, but the twist mechanism is really tight, to the point I thought they didn’t twist up in my first attempt. I’ve tried them on normal cardstock and on bible paper (it’s a Crossway ESV, 30gsm Apple white paper). They are brighter on normal card, but smudgier, too. On bible paper, they were a little more subtle (which I like), and when I blotted them with kitchen roll, they only smudged a little. They don’t show through, but I’ll need to test on other papers before these become my new go-to. I’m happy with pretty much all the colours. The blue one is fine on normal paper, but on bible pages, it fades to almost nothing when I blot it, which is a particular shame, as I love the blue one. With gel highlighters, including more expensive ones (like Hi-gliders by Peter Pauper Press), I’ve found they all need blotting otherwise they get tiny little flecks of extra gel, and they stay tacky/sticky. These are no different, but I’ve not found any ink-based highlighters that don’t show through too much. You can sharpen these like a normal pencil. I have a dual size pencil sharper (for normal and chunky kids’ pencils) and sharpen them to the size I want. Remember not to press too hard, these need a light touch; they get used-up fairly quickly, so their durability isn’t amazing. I think I’ll probably be buying another set before I finish my whole bible read-through (by I do highlight a lot). (In the attached picture, I’ve put the colours on the bible paper and the cardstock in the same order to better show the difference. The bible used is the ESV Student Study bible, which doesn’t have super thick paper and does have a slight coated feel to the pages).

I like these pens. The texture is more like a crayon than a pen. The highlight is nice, doesn't distort the words or smudge, not too neon but bright enough to highlight. A tiny bit visible on the next page so I would say, might not suit if you intend to highlight whole pages in different colours. Better than most other highlighters in terms of bleed through though- due to the thin pages. But, overall a great product at an excellent price. Would recommend these bible highlighters.

These highlighters are unique. I’ve never seen anything like them before. They’re made of a gel which has an almost waxy quality but gives a great result when used in the Bible. As you use them they “wear away” (see photo) but there’s loads of highlighter in each pen which work with a propelling action. I’ve been through my Bible and highlighted lots of verses that were previously underlined in pencil and I’m thrilled with the results. The colour does show through the page a tiny bit but only because the pages are so thin. Let’s face it even the text shows through so I’m not going to quibble about a tiny bit of colour. I can tell these highlighters are going to last me for years as you hardly have to apply any pressure at all to get perfect results. I’m very pleased.

Ok, but definitely some bleed through, Orange is the worst!

These highlighters leave a bit of residue that can easily be wiped away, however, as I continued to use them, the highlighters worked far better than I hoped! They practically slide onto the page and they do not bleed through the thin pages of my Bible. Very happy with my purchase.

I was hesitant at first as to believe whether or not these bled through Bible pages, but they don't! They're absolutely amazing for Bible journaling and they come in really bright colours. I accidentally brushed one of the tips (which are quite thick) up against my ruler which broke away a little bit of the gel crayonish type substance these pens are made from. I will be more careful in future not to knock the tips as I now know they do have little pieces break off, like crayons really. But they are incredibly smooth to highlight with. You only apply the most minimal of pressure, almost like a felt tip pen. I have purchased quite a number of items from this particular seller and all have been superb quality. I'm a very happy Customer, thankyou.
