Wireless Motion Sensor Door Chime: Business Entry Doorbell Indoor Alarm

This motion sensor is very easy to pair and set up. I used this while we were moving and placed the motion sensor inside the back doors of the ABF Freight moving truck. We lived in an area that was dimly lit at night and had all our stuff packed in the truck and I was worried about someone breaking into it overnight. I tested it out several times and as soon as you'd start to open one door the motion detector would set the alarm off. The distance was really good too as it was a good 200' from the base and the sound was loud. You can choose from 32 different tunes but I used the normal siren as it was the loudest. Since then I've been using it at the new house having the motion sensor pointed at the front door when we have the front door open while using the screen door. It's nice to be able to leave to door open and get fresh air and have this alarm you if there's an intruder. The battery life has been good, we're still using the original batteries and it's been almost a year of use. It's very versatile and a great value for the money and would highly recommend getting one.

PROBLEM: One recent cold Winter day our Alpha Cat Georgie snuck between our legs and went outside without being seen and we didn’t notice until 2300 hours Snack Muster (we have four foster fail cats), which meant Georgie was outside for about six hours. After looking through the entire house, we found him on the back deck urgently requesting entrance. Georgie is a long-haired part Maine Coon Cat, so he probably holed up in one of his favorite hiding spots, but even so the temps were below freezing and he was very grateful to be back in the warmth. He laid in his bed in front of the fireplace the whole night. RESEARCH: Georgie is certainly smart enough to learn how to push a doorbell button, but that would take time to teach him. We wanted to find something that would help right out of the box. We searched for something like a garage door safety mechanism so Georgie could break a laser beam and ring a bell. Unfortunately, the units we saw were either too expensive or too specific to garage doors. It might be possible to retrofit such a unit, but it seemed like there should be an inexpensive Plug and Play solution. SOLUTION: This unit fit the bill more or less perfectly. Mounted low on the door pointed at the spot on the doorstep where Georgie puts his nose when he wants to come in, the unit paired easily with the ringer and neatly announced when Georgie was ready to grace us with his presence in our living space. PROS: Easy set up; lots of tunes to choose from; five volume settings CONS: (1) outdoor unit is TOO sensitive. After initial setup, it detected every tiny movement in the entire yard. Squirrels, birds at the feeders, wind rustling leaves, and more. Luckily the unit has a mute setting that also blinks a warning light when movement is detected. In the attached pics, you’ll see my simple low tech solution of putting electrical tape over 2/3 of the detector and pointing further toward the ground. This worked well and now only triggers movement next to the bottom of the door. (2) there is no compatibility with Google or Alexa or any way to capture a log of detections. This may only be a problem for people like us who like to track trends (we also own two wi-fi connected automatic cat litter boxes that collect lots of data about our Cat Army’s latrine practices. OVERALL IMPRESSION: this unit was overkill for our purposes and needed a little tweaking to dial back the sensitivity. That said, at less than $25, this unit easily solved our problem. We recommend this for any pet owner who needs a similar solution.

Love, love, love! I have it at the edge of my garage and when I am outside in the back yard, I am able to here when someone is approaching.

not a bad product, works as advertised. Setup was easy. Pro: great price point, good value Con: 1)The unit is very loud, even at the lowest setting. If you are close to it, it's uncomfortable loud. At lowest setting you have only choice of "still too loud" or completely off. 2) The instructions... I have not read so bad "Chinglish" for a while. example: "Note: fixed tone is paired, need to hold the tone-button and volume-button keys for 5s. The next operation is the same as above"... crystal clear, isn't it :) 3) there is no on/off option on the sensor. If you don't need it (let's say, for a week or longer) you need to open the cover and remove one battery. Odd...

We bought this motion sensor chime to alert us when our dog is waiting by the door inside our garage to come back in the house (she doesn't bark to come in). We love it! The extensive choice of sounds and 5 volume levels are great and so much better than the shrill 'driveway alert' type alarms we've used in the past. The sensor is on a pivot and can be easily adjusted to detect desired motion and minimize false alarms (we've had 100% accuracy). The sensor does not appear to be weather proof and is for interior use only. Our only criticism is that the instructions that come with the sensor are poorly written and incomplete - e.g. there's no mention of installing the batteries, which you have to do BEFORE you assemble the sensor on it's pivot arm. But we figured it out fairly easily and the alarm is otherwise perfect for our needs. Recommend.

Works great. I need to readjust where it’s mounted. When the garage door shakes, it notifies me. Other than that..I love it

Bought this chime to use for my elderly parents room. Works great to alert us when they get up and are able to meet them at their door before they even leave the room. Easy to set up chime. The battery life has done well. You cannot the chime so the volume is loud or soft tones which I like.

This has been the best solution for our quiet dog who will just politely stand/lay at the back door until we see her to let her back in. We put the sensor down low next to the door and when she walks by, it immediately chimes. Wish we found this sooner!
