Advanced BHA Salicylic Acid Scrub Soap – Exfoliating Bar for Face & Body, Deep Pore Cleanser, Anti-Blemish, Skin Softening

I bought this in the hopes of clearing my bacne and spots left behind from years of damage. I have oily skin and it doesn't help either that my eczema flares up ever so often. Gave this soap a try within a few days, I saw a remarkable difference in the spots, bacne. Spots are slowly fading, skin is less oily.My skin feels much smoother. I bought more before I ran out of the first bar of soap.

I suffer from mild facial hormonal acne, and mild to moderate eczema. I have regular flareups around my monthly cycle, and any other time my hormones decide to do a flip. This includes external triggers like pollen during the warmer months. This soap is amazing! It has helped me control my eczema without drying out or irritation. There's no tightness after using this and absolutely no redness or irritation. Even using my gentle Neutrogena Pink grapefruit face wash during a flareup causes a little irritation and redness, but this soap does nothing but exfoliate. I'm astounded how well it breaks down all the flaky dry patches of skin without any irritation. I used to have dry bits around the cracks of my nose, and a patch on the end of my nose. No more! I used to have dry patches on my cheeks and around my eyes (which caused chronic Belpharitis). No more! Even though I have eczema, I don't have sensitive skin. So please do a patch test before using on the whole face. As for mild acne, again this has really reduced my spots almost to nothing. When I do get them they're not there for long as this stops them from developing. I also use the Sulphur one too for hormonal spots around my chin and jawline, literally only 1-2 minor spots and they're gone in 2 days! Anyone whose had hormonal acne knows they take forever (years!) to shift, some don't even budge. This soap is a God send! On a whim, I thought I would see what it would do to the keratosis pilaris on my lower legs. Wow! Immediately unclogged my pores, all the pink/brown spots faded and disappeared. I can't believe this is not used to treat KP! I use it once a week in the shower to maintain KP free legs:) This has generally improved the health of my skin to almost normal, my skin is clearer, more naturally glowing, and I don't bother with concealer any more. I used to have serious anxiety about my skin and going out, no more! Not only that I started using this at the end of July and I'm still using the same bar at the end of the year. This lasts forever, I even sometimes use it twice in one washing too. This is hands down the best product I've ever bought - it does what it says and more, plus it's economical. What more can you ask for? RECOMMENDED!!

According to the seller, this bar has only 0.4-1% salicylic acid, which is quite a large range (therefore we don’t really know how much we are getting) but also very low compared to most over the counter products which can range from 0.5-2%. A more potent ointment/serum can range from 2-6%. This basically means that the soap is safe for everyday use on most skin which isn’t sensitive, but be wary that overexfoliation is a thing and can make your skin worse if you don’t know what you’re doing. I would only recommend using this directly on your BODY as the skin on the body is thicker and therefore more resistant to acid and exfoliation, especially if using multiple times a day. Do NOT use the bar directly on your face as the apricot scrubs is way too harsh and will cause havock (micro tears in your skin, inflammation, acne). The formulation of the soap (as expected with all bar soaps) is also very drying which is another reason why you shouldn’t use this on your face. There are other toners, serums and facewashes designed for the face with acid which will be far more gentle and effective. Luckily the bar lathers up quite well so it’s best to lather some into your hands and then spread it onto the area. You also have to leave it for a little bit of time to actually let the acid work (on my body I wait about 3 minutes). If you wash it off straight away then the only thing about it that will exfoliate you are the kernels if you rub the bar straight on your body. The outside of the bar was quite smooth and I didn’t think that there were many kernels in there, but once you get past that layer there are quite a few and it does work quite well as a scrub. I’ve been using the bar once everyday for a month on my chest, back, shoulders and arms for tackle body acne and I’ve used up about 1/3. I read some reviews that the smell was bad, thankfully those were all rubbish as it literally just smells like clean soap, which is good. As for the effectiveness, I’ve noticed a smoothness in my skin, and some dark marks have faded over time, with no irritation (except for the kernels from the manual scrubbing which are to be expected). The active acne had started to decrease over the first 2 weeks. Once I got to about week 3-4, I noticed that the acne started to get worse and I think it is due to the irritation of the scrubbing. I will use the bar up for another 2 months to see if there are any further improvements. If you’re looking for something for body acne then I would give this a go to try as it is fairly inexpensive and could work. The formulation and product itself is good, as long as you educate yourself on skincare and do not overuse it.

Never write reviews but I’ve had such a good experience I had to share. Suffered from acne & congested skin since a teen- tried just about every product and skin routine on the market from own brands to Clinique or Elemis- these products have been the only products to make a visible and effective difference to my skin. Often I’d go for weeks feeling like I couldn’t leave the house without some kind of concealer or makeup on (which being a busy mum just made me so depressed and added to my busy morning). I’m finally getting weeks where I don’t even bother now, my skin has cleared significantly. I may have the odd few days where that hormonal acne just breaks through on the jawline but it’s never more than a few little bits I don’t feel overwhelmed by. After reading up on how the ingredients target and work, I now alternate between the glycolic acid (pink one) for days if I’ve got a few spots coming, salicic acid (green one) on days I’ve had a full face of makeup and could do with my skin being lightly exfoliated (after initially using squalane cleansing balm to remove makeup) and the ceramide bar for everyday use. I combine with Science of Skin Cleanse No. One - Micellar Foaming Face Cleanser for Problem Stressed Skin in the morning because I feel using the bars morning and evening may be overkill and dehydrating on the skin. My one feedback would be for a product that does better at unblocking blocked pores for blackheads

It’s okay but not amazing The soap smells nice and feels refreshing on the skin, but I didn’t notice a big difference in my spots or pores. It does exfoliate gently, but it can feel a bit drying if used every day. Good for occasional use, but not as effective as I expected for the price

I have struggles either bacne and acne of shoulders/chest/arms for many years. For the past year I have been using this soap alongside a Korean bacne cream, and I kid you not the combo has almost cleared all of my spots. I use it every time I shower, it works!!

This soap is the only thing I have found that clears up my bacne. You do have to use it everyday otherwise your skin will go back to how it was before very quickly. The smell is not the best but it's very faint and worth it for the results. Doesn't do anything for my face, but for my back and body it works miracles.

I have combination skin with some acne and had a recent breakout due to wearing makeup too many consecutive days and I remembered how when I was a teen my mother would crush up aspirin with water and have me wear it as a face mask once or twice a week which always cleared it up wonderfully as the active ingredient in aspirin is salicylic acid. So remembering that I decided to buy this soap instead to wash my face with it every day as I was looking for a new face wash in my routine anyway. I’ve tried a lot of different face washes most of which don’t do anything for me and usually break me out further but this one is the best I’ve ever tried. I started noticing results literally by the second morning and every morning since my skin’s been looking clearer and clearer. It’s been about a week and my breakout is not only completely gone but my skin looks better than it did beforehand. Like any soap when you apply it you have to leave it on the skin at least 30 seconds for it to have time to sink into the skin and work. I’m not too fond of the strong soapy smell or the fact it comes in bar form, but it’s very simply just salicylic acid in soap and nothing else which is why I decided on this one. And the fact that it works so wonderfully far outweighs that minor issue in my opinion. It doesn’t have any exfoliating beads really so I wouldn’t buy it for that purpose, it doesn’t feel gritty in that sense, it just feels very smooth and soapy. Though the salicylic acid itself as a beta hydroxy acid is actually an exfoliating agent so it could be said it has exfoliating properties whilst not outright exfoliating. My skin definitely looks and feels so smooth from using this and I can almost imagine it makes me look younger lol! It is also not drying at all, it actually seems like my skin can better express its own natural oils without clogging my pores, making my skin appear more naturally radiant. All in all I was very excited to come and review this because it’s just worked so brilliantly so quickly. This will be a staple now in my face care routine, I imagine long term use would be amazing for my skin! I highly recommend trying this for acne prone skin!

Okay now with this product, im not even gnna lie i feel it has rlly made a difference on my face. I dont have pimples but i have some dark spots on my face and i feel this soap has really helped my face GLOW and aswell slowly fade the dark spots. The first pic is my face before i started using it. And the second pic is about almost a month of using it. I havent been really consistent with it but i just wash my face with it every night with my spin brush. I really love this. It hasnt caused anything bad on my face. But everyones skin is different so what may work for one may not work for another
