This is a great card game. Lots of variety and fun. It feels a bit like a bridge between a very simple and easy to learn card game for the whole family and a proper deck builder game. People who are used to playing MTG etc are more likely to spot synergies or combos faster but that doesn't stop anybody beating you some of the time! My oldy criticism is that the end of the game can be a bit finicky to count up the points, an app would be great for this as I'm sure I've won some games because other people have under scored themselves.

We have been playing Doomlings with a mix of adults and kids, and it works perfectly for both. Doomlings stands out because of its "Ages" mechanic. Every round, a new rule is introduced that can completely flip your strategy, keeping everyone on their toes. The expansions are well worth as well!

So many different cards and expansions available. I wish I had paid extra for the bigger set that came with an expansion and a game board.Difficult to get your head around to begin with. Once to do you're away. Different scenarios each time. Gameplay variable. Keeps the kids off computers for a good hour. Fits in a small box so ideal to take away. But not suitable to pay in cars or trains due to layout whilst playing

At first it was really hard understanding the instructions of the game. To anyone that is buying thing product I suggest to maybe look at a YouTube video tutorial as it helped me the most.As I said in the title of this review this game is very interesting once you know how to play the game. The quality of the cards are high quality and if you play the game with a family expect to atleast take half an hour.The best thing about this game (or the best part for me) is that you can change the number of catastrophes and the length of the game too.So in conclusion, this is a very unique game that not many people have and it's a really nice game to enjoy with family if you understand the game.

Doomlings has become a firm favourite at our family board/card gaming sessions on a Sunday afternoon!It seems complicated at first but is actually quite easy to understand. It is a great game that holds the attention of the whole family, even our video gaming teenage ds. It has a nice mixture of luck and strategy and being able to be mildly 'mean' to other families members. Mwahaha! Can highly recommend it!The costumer service is amazing too. My dh decided that he wanted to score one card twice and we wrote to the company to have it confirmed that my kids and I were correctly interpreting the rules and they even answered our query on a Sunday (and my dh was wrong, of course!) :)

Meine Frau und ich haben es ursprünglich nur gekauft, weil uns die animierten Illustrationen so gut gefallen haben. Nach einem Monat im Regal haben wir es dann ausprobiert – und waren sofort begeistert!Einige Wochen lang haben wir es fast jeden Abend gespielt, bis wir uns schließlich auch die Erweiterung geholt haben. Danach haben wir es mit Familie und Freunden gespielt – und alle wollten, dass wir das Spiel jedes Mal wieder mitbringen.Das Spielprinzip ist einzigartig, clever durchdacht und sorgt für jede Menge Spaß in der Runde.Wir können Doomlings (Classic Edition) absolut empfehlen.

Very easy to learn to play. I would compare it to a couple other games I've played like race for the galaxy, or sushi go. You play your cards from your hand into a tableau in front of you where they stay (or can be stolen) Your hand is very dynamic and volitile, whereas the cards that you play and keep (for the most part!) count towards your final score at the end. The cards you play in front of you have various value points to them, and interact with each other to create combo point values. There is some interaction between players, but often the source of anxiety and conflict comes from the ages deck not other players (tho this is possible!). It feels like you're trying to get ahead of your opponents by a lot of luck and some strategy more than direct conflict. Cards are very nice, tho personally I would have liked to see better artwork. Yes the doomlings are cute, but it feels more like they created the artwork to be marketable on t-shirts and stuffed doomlings than for interest in game play. I ordered a couple expansions (yes I thought the game was good enough to get them!) and I'm hoping for a little more variety and artwork from the expansions.

My 13 yo had a friend over and we pulled out the game... we had so much fun and so much chatter that my 16 yo actually left his computer to come play with us! Once you get familiar with all the cards, it's quite a riot with just enough sarcastic nihilism to keep your teens interested.

This game is fun and easy to learn. DOOMLINGS has a YouTube video teaching you how to play which was very helpful
