Revell 07651 London Bus 1:24 Scale Unbuilt/Unpainted Plastic Model Kit

When buying this I had been modelling for about 2 years and I was ready to tackle some larger projects. This is a VERY large project. the main factor was the interior which is well worth it as you can easily see it through the windows. The detail is very good with good quality plastic that fits together well, I would actually recommend spraying or airbrushing your chosen colour on as it gives a nice finish. As I said work out how much spare time you have before undertaking this project. things I would recommend are revell or humbrol clear fix to attach the many windows which do fog up. Also humbrol MASKOL or revell modelling tape is good if you put the windows in before painting but otherwise you can put them in after painting. A very good project, I can't talk about the money as it was £25 when I got it but it seems to have gone up when I write this. I highly recommend this for intermediate to experienced modellers which time on their hands.

a very large kit with some very big parts (see below) and very well moulded details, the fit on all parts has been excellent and there is minimal clean up of flash and stuff like that, an excellent repoduction of this world famous london icon well done revell !!!!!! 10/10nearing the end of this build and it has gone very well, no fit problems with any parts which is hard to say with any kit of any type, but this has been a pleasure to build a couple of things i would say are worth getting are some masking tape and some of the revell contacta clear glue as there are alot of windows to be fittied and they look much better when in place with the clear stuff, oh i almost forgot to say i used gloss white, matt black and gloss red aerosols for the big parts like the chassis and body shell and saloon floors it is alot quicker and looks great when dry, above all take your time and it will do this great kit justice i have done many kits but this rates as one of best (in my view anyway)

A great model to build , quiet heavy when finished , I bought some plastic model passengers to put I side on the seats too

this is excellent model to build but will probably cost more in paint than the kit itself. i have been building now for nearly 2 weeks at about 2 hours a day and im about half way through although there is a lot of down time waiting for paint and glue to dry etc, im not going to build myself a london routemaster so have painted mine tartan peugeot green with cream interior as im not a fan of london or the queen. the build so far has gone to plan with the instructions fairly easy to follow looking forward to seeing the end result and it should make a nice display model......

Hours of fun and a gorgeous result!

This is a very impressive kit with a huge amount of detail but is disappointingly let down by some (in parts) very vague instructions and some badly warped body panels. At times I felt the kit was fighting me every step of the way and I was forced to spend several hours of filling, rubbing and repainting. Also surely a model of this scale deserves chrome plated parts rather than silver paint which would lift it to another level. All told it was for the most part enjoyable to build but the degree of rectification required certainly spoilt the party for me. A very good kit but a long way from excellent

A really terrific kit, well made and incredibly detailed although I wouldn't recommend it for an inexperienced modeller. It takes quite a time and an awful lot of patience to build and there's a lot of painting to do as all the parts come in grey and transparent plastic. Some small files and tweezers will come in handy, and you'll need at least two cans of the Revell 34134 Ferrari red gloss spray paint to do the main bodywork. Well worth it.

good kit but part numbers on spruce could be clearer

Espectacular y además creo que el único modelo existente en el mercado de este autobús en esta escala. Aunque la calidad de Revell deja un poco que desear con el buen montaje de las piezas. He tenido que modificar unas cuantas para que encajaran donde debían, pero aparte de eso, por lo demás muy bien y viene muy bien de detalles. Las calcas incluso a pesar del tamaño se leen perfectamente

買って1年経ちますが座席のデカールの多さに躊躇してまだ組み立てていません、またエッチングパーツなどが付いたスペシャル版もあるようなので、作りこみたい方はそちらを選ばれたほうが良いかと。　でかい！

This a huge kit I am taking a lot more time with this than any other I have done for a while. There is a lot of painting to do so be patient and let stages dry. I find it better to paint several stages ahead so I can have some sessions just assembling. I have not completed it and am just starting the outside body but I have to say I am enjoying this one alot!!

Model comes in the huge box. It is intended rather for more advanced modelers. All parts fit perfectly. Most time is spend painting parts :) There are some repetitive actions like seats and windows, but it is the real pleasure to assembly all parts together and see the ready model. It takes many, many hours to have it ready. I spend two months, few hours almost each day to complete it. The bus is very detailed inside and outside including driver cabin and engine. Only wheels suspension is not mapped detaily, as usually for 1:24 truck models. Some decals need to be cutted to proper dimension before attaching. To see the size of this model I have placed the Lego figure on some pictures. It was one of the best models I ever made - I can recommend it with a clear conscience. Delivery from Amazon was good as well.

Holy cow! I new 1/24 scale was big but this is the most impressive, inspiring, and largest box of model.Before reviewing this kit, I would like to state my reason for the 5 stars. Amazon still hasn't updated, and says my kit (this kit) is still in transit, but if it was, this review wouldn't exist. Shipping was swift, and packed well. this is the greatest, and most complicated kit I've attempted. Price was right, snagged it before the price increased.Outside the box: All model information, specs, and a mix of illustrations and actual model photos, as well as a summary of the vehicles history. All pannels are decorated in typical Revell of germany kits (but is not stated in the kits title), and the complete skill guide is on back.Inside the box: Although i have not torn into the bags of parts for this review, I am pleased at the packing of, and overall mold quality of the parts.You also get a 90 step instruction booklet, with a complete parts list (in picture format of part trees) with corresponding part numbers, paint list, and guide. Only down side of the kit (so minor ive over looked it in my overall rating), was the decals were not sealed in anything but the instruction booklet.Instructions are easy to follow, and with some time and elbow grease, should yield a showroom model.
