Bought at a good price these citronella t lights last quite a long time, give off a nice lemony smell and appear effective at deterring insects. The candles don’t burn very bright but do the job required.

Hi, the marks awarded for a product such as this refer to tea candles as a whole, not necessarily this version of them. They only last for a short period of time, maybe two sittings of an hour or so. But I have a tea candle holder so that's why I keep on buying them. The tea candle holder sits next to a larger candle, and is one of many candles (usually between 7 - 9) that line my room when I want to relax. You'd be surprised at the level of illumination (and indeed heat) that you can achieve with such a relatively small number of candles, and are a perfect alternative if you do not yet own a table lamp and don't wish for the all-encompassing bright light of a ceiling hanging light. Regarding the other category ratings: the scent is perfectly fine and is significantly detectable, and is value for money all things considered. The reason I thought to buy more tea candles was inspired by seeing them on sale in a standard department store for £3. Then, checking on Amazon (using the app) I noticed they were only £2.49. That's the beauty of Amazon, as if you're a Prime Member, you get Free delivery of over 85% of items. So I 'added-to-cart'!

Does the job

Kept the bugs away but they don't stay lit for long! I had to keep relighting them and it was not that windy.

I’ve seen citronella products for years, for some reason I assumed I’d hate the smell as my sense of smell is very acute. Last year we got bit worse than ever before. We were like all you can eat buffets for mozzies. It got so bad, once the light started to dwindle we’d make a sharp exit indoors, which subtracted from our summertime enjoyment. It can only be Likened to children going to bed way too early! This year we decided to bite the bullet and give them a go, to see if they really do work. I can confirm that they do work. We were able to sit outside until we had had enough. We noticed it doesn’t only keep the mosquitos away, it actually kept nearly all flying insects away. So, we decided to put one on in the kitchen to keep flies out. Hoping it would work, no matter how clean you keep the home, flies still somehow decide they’d like to come in when doors are open. We try to shoo them out before whipping out insect spray, but there are always pesky ones that refuse to leave, leaving no option but to spray them with the killer spray. We found we really like the citronella smell, so now we put one on in every room, not only do they reduce the number of flying insects immensely, they smell incredible too! It’s a win win 🏆 We intend to use these in the summerhouse also, the only thing I’m wondering, is, would it be ok to put one in my greenhouse? I have mesh on the windows to prevent insects getting in and laying eggs on plants. At times, doors have to be opened on really hot days, would one of these in the greenhouse be ok with plants 🤷🏻‍♂️It would be a game changer.

Velas normales que huelen muy bien, en cuanto a si repelen mosquitos no estoy del todo seguro, lo que si es seguro que no me ha atacado ningún tigre desde que las compré, así que debe proteger frente a Tigres también. Un chollo.

The candles came in time but the wick was melted into the wax of half the candles.

Excellent achat - Pas cher et efficace - Elles se consument doucement mais avec une flamme normale - J'ai déjà acheté d'autres bougies à la citronnelle en Hyper ou ailleurs mais elles ne se consumaient pas normalement - La flamme était ridicule et au final poubelle ... Nous les mettons dans des pots de yaourt en verre (une dizaine) - Sur la table de la terrasse et quelques unes par terre (car les moustiques passent par le bas si odeur par le haut) - En complément de bâtons d'encens à la citronnelle, nous n'avons pas de moustiques - Ils passent mais ne s'arrêtent pas ...
