Yes it would. I had them sitting in the tree above my car and having a Number 2 frequently, since having the device i haven't had one. One thing to be aware of is that the high frequency does affect young children's hearing so be careful where you put it and check with the kids when it is up and working.

Can I put it in the loft will it reach the roof where they sit

Hi. We put ours in the loft till we had the gap where the birds came in fixed. Seemed to work well but didn't stop birds landing on the roof.

Possibly 2 weeks. So best to buy a stock of Batteries. Depends which batteries you use. Best results use Durracell non leaking batteries
