Wiha32091 5-Piece 1000-Volt Slotted and Phillips Insulated Screwdriver Set

As a maintenance electrician at a cannery I do a variety of different electrical work. Most over hauls, rebuilds and upgrading is done on dead circuits but most troubleshooting and bucket work is done live. I use these wiha insulated tools for everything. The comfort in the grip and the way it is formed to your hand while still getting the grip needed to turn just about anything is amazing. They are durable and dependable and also fit nicely into most side bags and belt type tool holders which is essential in my line of work. I would recommend these to any one looking for insulated drivers. I’ve tried a few different brands and these are by far my favorites.

so thought i knew decent screwdriver thought one voltage safety set was as good as any other right up till 4 of 5 from cheap set ordered last yr tip spun out so went on a hunt. to me these were expensive but man the quality, soon as opened package i knew i had chosen right, currently saving back for there metric and standard nut driver set im hooked on the look and the knowledge im safe and in good hands with these wiha tools in my hands. oh and know for fact my butt would been zapped time or to already if was using cheap sets like had before.

I am an electro-mechanical engineer and I have used Wiha screwdrivers for more than 20 years -d*mn, that made me feel old-. Ordered this set because one of my old ones (had them for more than 12 years) was "lost" and a couple of days ago, the small flat broke its tip a little so, I've said: time for a new set. I work with robotics and lots of CNC machines on a weekly basis at all types of industries (I travel almost every week to customer's sites all over the place) from medical to aerospace to food, defense and anything in between and these are by far my ONLY choice of screwdrivers, specially since one of them actually saved my life when an inspector cut my lock out/tag out lock while I was at lunch and didnt tell anybody. I've got hit with 480V at about 900amps but thanks to the insulation, it wasnt a full hit, which saved my life so after that (year 2001) these are the only ones I use because I know I can trust them. Now, they are known to be just what they are made to be: screwdrivers, they are NOT pry bars of any type or style, so if you think they can be used as such, even for something small, they will probably break and that's on you, not the brand or product.Big note: on the Amazon description it says that they are made in China, I've almost did not ordered them because of that but then, knowing how germans are I've told myself: they wont let the chinese slip, of that I am sure. I was VERY happy to see that they were actually made in Germany so, order with confidence! Wiha is still Wiha! :)

Relatively inexpensive. Haven't tested the 1000v but I believe them. Not exactly as sturdy and rugged as a Klein set but they are lighter. I do wish the backs had hard tail so I can tap the screwdriver with my linemens but oh well.

The screwdrivers of this set are rated at 1000 Volt. They are very high in quality. The price I paid was not very high, given the quality. I would recommend this set (Wiha 32091).
