2 Port USB 3.0 Dual Monitor KVM Switch Displayport 1.4, Display Port KVM Switch 2 Monitors with Audio and Cables Support 4K@144Hz, 8K@30Hz

Having upgraded my Gaming PC and Monitor recently to a 4k capable system, I quickly realised how difficult it is to find a kvm switch that works at 4k @120Hz and above. Sure there are plenty of devices that support 4k @60Hz and even 8k @30Hz, but when it comes to gaming - what's the point of those. I went through a number of HDMI 2.1 based devices, quite often marketed as "8k" available on amazon. More often than not these fall into false advertising category - either support very specific 8k and 4k modes, or vendor plainly advices to switch over to 2k or a refund. Could be HDMI2.1 is a relatively new standard and the solutions are yet to catch up with this technology. And here comes DisplayPort 1.4 and this particular device. Comes with set of 8k cables so a lot of possible issues are sorted out from the start. Sturdy external design that is not very sleek compared to newer models but...it just WORKS. Advertised as 8k@30Hz or 4k@144Hz capable with voice. I do not have 8k system to test it with, but my 4k @144Hz setup worked with no flicker or any issues whatsoever. I even enabled overclocking to push it to 4k@160Hz (10 bit colour depth, RGB) and again, stable connection. Switching between that and the other laptop (older) works perfectly via keyboard shortcuts with automatic detection etc. Now I did not test voice as I don't have a need for it (using headphones), nor 8k resolution. I also use single monitor setup and the kvm is geared to support dual monitors. So there is scope for further testing for sure. But for what I need - it is perfect!

I use this to swap between laptop and desktop. It works for the most part, but has the following faults: - Occasional screen flickering (I use the correct cables, spent loads on them) - Sometimes one of the screens won't work until I unplug a cable and plug it in again - Most recently, it's been randomly triggering the switch after a beep (and there is NO chance I am pressing the button by accident) I never really managed to get the shortcuts working, the instructions were not clear and fairly badly translated. I am holding out for a similar KVM from a different company, but sadly 4k 144hz KVMs arent that common.

Works and also delivers exactly what I need from a KVM switch.

Needed a switch for swapping work laptop, and gaming PC, running two screens at 1440p @165Hz. This unit being 2x2, and compatible with DP1.4, made it possible. Arrived today, it was fairly easy to connect. I've had some old cables used, eventhough they supply their own. This caused me some trouble. Some of my old cables made the screen not turning on. So if you have similar issue, change cable first. What's really nice, is the remote control, so you can have the box out of the way, and easy access to the switch. If I was to say one negative, their DP cables are rather short. Extra half meter length would make a big difference.

I have 2 3440x1440 monitors at 144hz and both of them were stuttering and turning off and on, I think the bandwidth from my graphics card was too much for this device.

Empecemos por lo básico, en mi caso falta un cable, Display Port, vienen 5, por lo que para acabar de conectar todo tuve que buscar uno por casa y estos cables DP 1.4 no son baratos. El embalaje es bastante ordinario y básico, todo en una caja apretado sin nada de acolchado... bastante cutre para un producto que no deja de costar mas de 300, no estoy pidiendo colores, pero un mínimo de acolchado creo que no estaría mal, además de que creo que por la parte de Amazon no viene en una caja... venia en una bolsa que además estaba rota... Una vez desembale todo y conecte todo a los ordenadores para mi sorpresa no tenia señal de video en ningún monitor... y es que en mi caso tengo dos monitores, uno 3440x1440@165hz y uno 1920x1080@144hz... En ninguno de los dos fui capaz de obtener mas de 120hz. En el monitor de 1440 lo máximo que conseguí tras estar probando durante todo el fin de semana fue la resolución 3440x1440@120hz sin que fuese estable, a que me refiero con que no era estabale... bueno, pues el monitor de vez en cuando dejaba de recibir señal, artefactos en la pantalla a cada rato, flickering etc... En la pantalla 1080 en ningún momento llego a dar señal... aunque esto puede ser explicado debido a que estaba usando adaptadores, probé con varios algunos EDID y otros de mejor calidad... ninguno funciono. He devuelto el articulo por motivos obvios y es que en ningún caso este articulo da lo que promete... de echo esta en la categoría de 2k 144hz a lo sumo le puedes poner un poquito mas de resolución pero no tiene el ancho de banda para mover una señal de 4k a 144hz ni de cerca... Como ultimo punto, parece que este articulo no es de esta empresa ya que hay otros productos de otras marcas que son exactamente iguales... Lo cual me hace sospechar de la calidad en general del producto.

This is an awesome KVM (I got the 2x2 DisplayPort one). Previous KVMs I've used are all limited to 60fps, or even 30 in some cases. I've also had reliability issues with other KVMs that I don't here. However, it took a bit of debugging to sort out issues I had with the KVM, none of which were its fault: 1. Biggest issue: excessive flickering for a few seconds shortly after switching to a device - The issue was with my HP Reverb G2 VR headset. It does something hacky to the system to get its display to work, which causes issues even if you bypass the KVM and directly hook up the monitors to the PC. You've probably noticed it mucking with the displays when connected. For some reason, this hackery persists even after the headset is fully disconnected. You need to reboot after disconnecting the headset to get rid of its changes. In other words, each time you finish using the G2, you need to disconnect and reboot, or display reconnection will have flickering due to its tampering 2. KVM randomly switches monitors without me pressing the button: it was caused by the mouse shortcut (double click middle mouse button) which I would accidentally press twice sometimes due to the finickiness of my mouse. Fixable by disabling mouse shortcuts or rebinding to something that's harder to press twice on accident 3. Keyboard shortcuts not working even though the shortcuts button is enabled on the KVM and keyboard is plugged into the KVM's keyboard port: My Corsair gaming keyboard was the culprit. For some reason, even though it works _completely fine_ when connected through the KVM, keyboard shortcuts weren't being registered. When I connected a normal keyboard, I was able to use keyboard shortcuts 4. Not waking the computer / USB devices not re-enabling when switching computers: make sure the dedicated power is connected to the KVM After debugging those, this KVM has been a rock solid experience. I'm able to get 1440p 144Hz with my two monitors, which I've never been able to get with any other KVM. It only comes with 2 DP cables for the KVM->monitors, so make sure the 4 you're using from device->KVM are rated appropriately for the resolution+speed you want. There are a lot of sellers on Amazon selling "high-speed" DP and HDMI cables that aren't actually high-speed. KabelDirekt cables have all been high-quality in my experience, if you run into issues with your cables.

The device itself works great with two 3440x1440 monitors, one at 165hz and one with DSC at 240hz. Only the cables aren't all capable of the full display port 1.4 bandwidth, so I had to use my own.

Generally does what I need it to do - switch my monitors and keyboard/mouse between my desktop and laptop. Sometimes when I wake the connected computer the keyboard or mouse will not register and I need to toggle the kvm a once or twice to get things working again. It also makes a very loud beep when it switches, which seems unnecessary and is actually quite annoying.

Nach langer Suche stieß ich endlich auf diesen KVM Switch - kein anderer konnte eine vernünftige Bildfrequenz der angeschlossenen Monitore garantieren. Kurz gesagt: Ich bin begeistert! Ich betreibe nun problemlos 2 Monitore (165Hz und 120Hz) per Displayport zwei PCs. Die Umschaltung funktioniert zuverlässig und zügig. Die Meldung von nVidia "G-Sync Gerät gefunden" sollte man aber in den Benachrichtigungsoptionen deaktivieren, ansonsten wird sie bei jedem Umschalten angezeigt. Meine Logitech G910 Gaming Tastatur funktionierte nicht am Keyboard Anschluss, sie läuft aber problemlos am USB Hub. Die Mausumschaltung kann ich nicht bewerten, da ich jeweils unterschiedliche Mäuse an den PCs verwende.
