Transforms your Leatherman into an everyday carry hero I picked up the Leatherman Pocket Clip & Lanyard Ring to make carrying my Leatherman Wave easier, and honestly, it’s one of those small upgrades that makes a big difference. The pocket clip snaps on securely and holds the tool in my pocket without the need for a sheath, making it easy to grab quickly when I need it (which is surprisingly often when you’re the “fix it” person in your family). It keeps the tool from sinking to the bottom of your pocket and is strong enough that I don’t worry about it popping off accidentally. The lanyard ring is handy if you like keeping your Leatherman tethered, especially if you’re working on ladders or over water and don’t want your multitool taking a dive. It’s easy to install, and once it’s on, it stays put. If I had to nitpick, the clip could have a slightly lower profile for deep pocket carry, but it’s sturdy, functional, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. If you carry your Leatherman daily, this pocket clip and lanyard ring kit is a must-have upgrade to make your multitool more accessible and convenient, letting you leave the bulky sheath behind while keeping your tool ready for action.

The lanyard loop in this pack is useless if continually fixed to the multi-tool as it gets in the way of some of the smaller 'blades'. Also most leathermans have a hidden lanyard loop, so it's a waste of money. The pocket clip is perfect for what I wanted. Just wish it could be purchased separately.

Bought for my wave and both the loop and clip have their uses: The clip stays on there all the time (unless I need to shift a really tight nut with the pliers in which case it can dig into the hand). It is great if you want to carry it in your pocket without the sheath. The clip can also go behind the hook half of the velcro on the nylon sheath meaning that it won't fall out if the velcro is open. The loop is currently attached to my boat. The fast release with the locking mechanism for the smaller tools makes for quick and easy access as well as secure storage - I have tried yanking and wobbling it but have had no problems. The size is also a good compromise for being able to snap onto a carabina without being too bulky. It would be similarly useful for working at height but I don't do much of that. You can put it in the pouch with the ring but it does not fit well. One thing that is worth pointing out: as you are unfolding the small tools on the side of the loop it will unlock. This would only cause a problem if it is under tension at the time but it is worth checking. No such problems with the clip as the tension/friction keep it in place more securely. As has been pointed out, you can't have both attached at the same time. I expect you could take out the standard lanyard loop but I haven't tried and have no intention of doing so.

Very easy to install. Works as advertised. Should be included with original purchase of tool, but not too epensive i suppose.
