why does my steam iron stop steaming after two minutes

Hi. I have been using this iron for some time and don't have any problem with the steam process. The only thing I can think of is the water level in the base may have been exceeded. You need to ensure that hirpn water level is below the max. line or you will hear a numbing sound and there will be no steam. Good luck with your purchase

I have just read instructions and trying yo ise, all iron does is make a loud nouse no steam. Any clues? I have tried continuously for about 5 minutes

It is supposed to make the loud noise so don't worry about that. I fill it with water and make sure the white plastic steam tube is slotted back in properly making sure the water tank clicks in place, switch it on at the wall and on iron, leave it 2 minutes, then press steam button for 10 seconds and steam comes out.

Is it possible to get a water tank for a steam generator iron?

Hi. I believe you can buy the tank itself but it's a real struggle to get hold of the filter cartridge as it's nowhere available. You can pre order then wait months for delivery. Avoid this iron.
