Magma A10-175 Pow'r Grip Rod Holder Boat Grill Mount, Stainless Steel

I got this mount to go with the Kettle Grill I just bought and it's perfect. It fits the rod holder just right, is VERY easy to install and tighten, and I have no worries that it will hold it without a problem. It's very secure and stable. The large wingnut style tightener is super easy to use, and works very well.

Why only 4-stars huh? I normally rate things 5 if they are well designed, meet my needs, durable, and priced appropriately. This item is 3 out of 4 of those. The price, $60, is I believe excessive for an item but boats aren't cheap. This item works well and looks good, but I don't believe it's worth its weight in gold.

I have to say, the product didn’t last long. Bought it late March and it fell apart in October. Somehow when I went to put it in the rod holder, the plastic expansion pieces fell right off the stainless shaft into the ocean!! I spent about 45 mins trying to find them but I think the current was too strong. Thinking I was out the $50 I had just spent 7mo ago, I decided to give Magma a call and see what their thoughts were first. Without hesitation after explaining to customer support what happened, they asked which parts I was missing and said they would call me back. I got a call back about an hour later saying the parts I was now missing were not in stock so they would just ship me a new one in the new aluminum redesign! I’m so impressed with the customer support. It sucks that the first one didn’t last long and how my mood probably ruined the evening for everyone that night... but they did a dang good job making things right! I look forward to seeing the replacement show up in the mail next week.

Holds the grill exactly as described fit and finish meet expectation

Excellent mount. I read that others had trouble with the plastic nut breaking, but I found that you only have to snug the nut down to secure the grill. Also for those that have lost the regulator overboard, I installed a simple 4 foot extension hose, so the propane bottle stays on board with the regulator securely attached. If the regulator should come off the grill, the hose will prevent it from even hitting the water! Hose on Amazon: "DozyAnt 4 foot propane extension hose"; about $13.00. Mike

Mir gefällt die Halterung für den Angelrutenhalter sehr gut. Das Produkt hält was es verspricht. Über den Halter und den Winkeladapter der beim Grill dabei war lässt sich der Grill sicher und fest am Boot anbringen. Dem Fleischgenuss an Bord steht somit zukünftig nichts mehr im Weg. Einzig der Preis ist meiner Meinung nach etwas hoch. Dafür bekommt man aber ein sehr robustes Produkt ganz ohne Plastikteile, die schnell kaputt gehen könnten. Dafür zahle ich dann doch wieder gerne den Preis, wenn man überlegt, dass das Teil nicht so schnell kaputt gehen wird. Ein zusätzlicher Hinweis noch: Die Befestigungsstange für den Grill lässt sich konstruktiondbedingt nicht im Schaft des Adapters drehen, wenn der Adapter im Angelrutenhalter montiert ist. Das bedeutet, man benötigt am Boot Angelrutenhalter, die nahe der Bordwand oder Reling angebracht und in Richtung Wasser ausgerichtet sind. Bei meinem Boot ist der Halter so in die Borwand eingelassen, dass man den Grill nur über Deck positionieren konnte, was dazu führt, dass Fett aus der Auffangwanne des Grills ins Boot tropfen kann. Ich musste den Halter also noch einmal umbauen um die Stange im Schaft um 90° zu drehen. Wer die Werkzeuge dazu zu Hause hat kann das machen, ist aber etwas schwierig da die Stange aus Edelstahl besteht und sich nur schlecht bohren lässt, was für den Umbau notwendig ist.
